I have been doing some research on CBD as well. If this treatment doesn't work then CBD is next.

@Blackout14 do not reward the bad behavior by petting that encourages it. Like someone else said, get between them and say "no". What do you do when you go out? Do you let him go first? Make him wait and everyone else go out first and he's only allowed when you say ok.

Have your daughter with you when she's calm, too, and have her go out before him. Does he sit for food? Let her give the command "ok" to eat. Trying to think of the other things that one should do..... If he's doing something wrong, give him a command to do something "right" and reward the good behavior. When I brought Annie home, all 13 pounds of her, I think, she'd about knock me down to get out the door first... a raised voice let her know it was not acceptable behavior, and she mellowed out when she realized I was the pack leader and she was just a peon. I even let my other dog go out first and after a few times, she would wait to go out....

I do know about a barking dog, since Zoie loves to back talk

    Good luck

I’ve read quite a few of the post you’ve left regarding your newly acquired dog. I’m no professional by any means but I’ve trained my own dogs for a few years and trained a few buddies, base my training off of a couple guys Michael Ellis and Mike Ritland. As many have mentioned it is a pack heirarchy issue, but it probably dives deeper than that, previous owner, lack of boundaries yada yada. Dogs and kids are tough, I missed how old your little one is, but need to set the standard. Don’t have to do it with cliche dominance behavior. Instead get the little ones involved with the training. Now obviously if said child is less than 3 this won’t work, but if they can walk and hold a leash your in business. If we are talking basics leash manners is step number 1. I move you move, I stop you stop, I go left you go left. Prong collar, it’s a tool not a disciplinary piece of equipment. The reason I bring this up first is because once the dog knows he’d manners now you can introduce a child in to the walk which is key to showing heirarchy. Your movement is based on my movement. Treats are cool, but that’s just a food source and unless your purposely starving your dog for a reason that’s just extra food and they don’t really need it, they just want it. Just my two cents bro.

Edit: let me know if you have questions. I can talk this stuff for days.

Stay calm, stay consistent. I bet you'll start to like the results. It can be painfully long to break habits instilled. But it is possible.

We go hike over off of the 56 and 5 freeway. In Carmel Valley, some pretty cool spots in the back towards the canyons. Usually pretty empty so she typically will be off leash.

Awesome. I’ll have to head over that way and check out the hike spots. I’ve pretty much exhausted everything in east county area
