Is your A/C finger-numbingly cold like mine?

My A/C is only cold at night, during the day, It throws cool air if it's in a good mood. If it's in a bad mood, It straight up throws blazing hot air.

Since I got my A/C recharged for the second time, the cooling performance isn't as good when it is REALLY hot and/or it has been sitting in hot weather for a long time. Give it five minutes or so, and it is finger-numbingly and nipple-hardeningly cold. Once I'm on the highway, I have to turn it down to the first or second setting because it works too well!

Actually, it does that automatically once you have a certain number of posts. You can "cheat" and do it yourself though...

Sometimes, I have no other option than to roll down the windows in 103 Texas heat.

Thats the only weak mechanical feature that doesn't work, other than that, it drives like a charm.

I rode home with my friend after a night of drinking (Friday, June 1st) with some other friends, because he'd had nothing to drink, he lives incredibly close to me, and he's cheaper than Uber (free)! My friend drives a 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT with less than 13K miles on the clock (he bought the car new, has a short commute to work, and doesn't drive much). It was about 75 and incredibly humid on Friday night/Saturday morning, so we had the windows up and the A/C going full throttle. The A/C in his car works good, but in my opinion isn't much different than my truck as far as coldness. In fact, my truck's might even blow colder!

From rental cars that we've borrowed, Ford has the best A/C

Can't speak for cars, but we've rented a few Expeditions over the last six years or so, and they had damn good A/C. We rented a 2012 Expedition for a drive from New Orleans to Pensacola (and back) in the summer of 2012, and the A/C in that worked GREAT.

Worst A/C I've ever experienced in a "new" car was a 2014 Mazda5 that my cousin and her husband rented during a visit to the DC metro area. Northern Virginia/DC metro is always hot in the summer, but heat wave records were set that summer. We had the front and rear A/C in that Mazda on its coldest setting with the fan on high, and it was just barely cool. It was cool enough that we weren't forced to open the windows to catch a breeze, but it wasn't much better than sitting in front of a fan in a building with no A/C. My cousin's husband complained to the rental agency when they returned the Mazda...

Worst A/C I've ever experienced was in two different GMC Safari vans, a 2000 model that my parents bought brand new and owned until 2004, and a 1999 model (about 15 years old when I drove it) used as a work van for the bar where I work.

The A/C in my cousin's '98 Audi Cabriolet was REALLY good, and in fact about the only the thing on that car that worked properly during the time she owned it. My cousin had just graduated from high school and really wanted a convertible. She'd been driving a '98 Monte Carlo prior to the Audi (this was in about 2007 and she'd had her license about two years). Her dad gave her the Monte Carlo as a present when she got her permit, and she didn't like it very much. She paid just $7,500 cash (her personal savings) for the Audi and drove it for two years or so. The Audi had three strong points; The most obvious was that it was a convertible, the second was that the A/C was downright FRIGID, and the third was that it had the very expensive Audi Delta/Bose factory sound system that absolutely cranked. Other than that, the car was a turd. It was reliable in the sense that it ran and drove good, and never left my cousin stranded, but it had the typical German-car electrical gremlins. One annoying and rather unfortunate trait of the Audi was that bits and pieces of the interior tended to fall off under seemingly normal circumstances. Slamming the door or pulling a handle too hard would cause something to break, and instead of coming to terms with the fact that her beloved Audi was falling apart, she'd just blame me for "not knowing my own strength." This started many heated arguments between the two of us...

I would like to point out that my 2010 Tacoma is roughly the same age and has the same miles now as my cousin's Audi in 2007, and I am rough on vehicles. I am big and heavy-handed, but my truck is still quite solid! My cousin's Audi was a turd!
