When you say 2 piece grill, are you referring to the grills where the "TACOMA" piece is separate and screw on? If so, what the advantages/differences between the ones where the letters screw on separately and the ones where the letters are put on with 3M tape?

Ya that's what I am referring to. I don't have one so I wouldn't know. I want one because I don't want to deal with sticking the letters on.

Here's a pic of my grill with the @TUFSKINZ turbo silver letters.

As for the quality, the letters are solid, thick, great adhesive and seem to be hearty enough to last for many years (similar to the thick tailgate letters I suspect will outlive the paint job on the truck...). Very easy to get them lined up well and provides a more raised look that's nice.

    Thanks for the pic!
Can you post a side angle shot to see how much they stick out?

    Hello everyone!

I received my China Pro Grill this week and plan to mount it tonight. I’ve tried to remove the radar sensor but am having trouble with the clips for the harness. Any tips on getting these off without breaking?

Also, I received the 2 piece Grill and the first and last letters had over spray Gray that is noticeable compared to the interior letters. I found that my flat black spray paint from Lowe’s is an exact color match and went ahead and taped/spray painted the letters and they match now. My concern is that I am jnsure how the paint will hold up in the car wash. I tested a matte clear coat on a test piece of plastic and the coat has a sheen that is not appears glossy at certain angles and would likely be noticeable once all the letters are together. Any advice?

Yes, will do tomorrow. They have really grown on me... won’t be replacing them with another color. Really pops from a distance and the embossed edges give it dimension for sure

I used a small flat head screwdriver to lift the tab that holds the clip together (towards the center of the connector). Pressing on the tab at the end of the connector to try to separate the connector didn't lift this tab high enough for the clip to disconnect.

Most of the grille arrived in the mail quickly, and what did arrive seems good quality. The missing pieces are in the centre where it says Toyota and the little grille that the letters sit on. Currently dealing with vendor through ebay right now. Still not mad/disappointed yet because its was $100 bucks.

That looks good! I like the red accent.

Is that red TRD emblem just held on with double sided tape or does it have a bracket? Where’d you get it too?

    Just put mine on.

I received the one piece grill with the stick on letters.

I decided I didn’t like the look of the seperate garnish for the radar so I cut a piece of the plastic off of the factory license plate holder that came with the truck.
I then glued with a strong adhesive then sealed with silicone.

I then attached the square nuts/brackets that came with OEM Grill into the China Pro Grill.

Then attached the radar sensor with the OEM nuts and screws.

Front of the grill where the sensor sits.

I can confirm that the radar works fine and drove it all afternoon without any issues.

Is it black letters? I thought I saw another post someone mentioned they needed to paint the letters themselves.

What different is this $88 one vs the $120-140 people are paying?

no, i didn't have to add anything to it. they included everything. the pic i posted is exactly how it came minus the trd emblem. i used the provided double sided tape to stick the letters to the grille. nothing different in quality from others that i've seen here. if you end up springing for it, and it shows up busted or janky, just send it back and get your money back. that was my plan with it, but it turned out fine for me.
