Yeah. Some 265/70-17s would look nice. These stock wheels and tires have to go asap. The wife actually Hates them more than me!

I've had all three generations (still have a 03 2.7 reg.cab), and I like my 17 much better than the previous generations.

Tacoma’s keep their value way too well to purchase used IMO. If you love the Tacoma platform the 3rd Gen is amazing. Any “issues” people have on here are easily workable with a simple tune. Buy a new truck, you’ll know exactly what it’s been through. Good luck!

Exactly, it rarely makes sense to purchase a used Tacoma.

I was looking for a 12-15 and they were all in the 28-33k range with 40-60k miles on them. I love the way the third gens look and the 10k seemed a good expense for getting something that wasn't flogged and getting exactly what I wanted....trd or DCLB

2015 trd off-road imo. i've owned both gens. i sprung for ext warranty on my 17 because i'm still unsure of the 3.5. the 1gr is decently proven and most of any issues with 2nd gens have been discovered by now and you can easily search how to fix any issue you run into.

What dealer did you go with and what you end up getting OTD? If you don’t mind me asking. I’m in Sac a buddy is looking to get one as well.

Got it in Reno (Dolan). I called the Roseville dealer but the guy I got was an ass. Dealer had some extras on it, tint, bed pad, etc brought it up to $33,802. Was otd for $35,500 incl tax. 1.9% which is awesome. Trdor would have been about $5k more.

Does the bed size affect the price?

    nope.

when i was shopping around last summer, I compared a silver dcsb v. a dclb and they were the same. it all depends on the options that are on that truck. I dont have the technology package on mine. I had enough bells and whistles on a TRD OR and it being 4x4 and a Long bed was enough.

+ a locker was nice. id rather have that over a sport hood.

AK no sales tax? Plus minimal dealer extras helps get the price down. I think tax was $2700 for us. Not fun!

i bought mine in Hayward, Ca when they were pushing to get the 2017s off the lot to make space for 2018's. Military discount was 1000, and rebate was 1500 at the time i purchased. otd it was 35. so i saved in taxes, registration fees. oh lets not forget the assembly fee 900 something. They wanted 37,500.+ taxes and registration fees. I came with 35,000 cash in hand.

If they know you want a long bed it's going to cost you extra.
