Thanks for the detailed write up! One question though. You mentioned that you fused tapped it to the 10 amp ignition which is what i did and you explained it was because when the car turns off the fog lights will turn off also. My question is if i forget to push the button to turn off the fogs even though the lights turn off will it drain my battery with the button still pushed in? I know this sounds stupid lol. Just asking.

No, it will not drain the battery if the fog light switch is pushed in and the ignition is turned off.

Awesome wite up OP, can't wait to install them!
Has anyone installed the fogs that come with the kit, or something similar to the kit, and gone through a water crssing where they were submerged? Curious if I need to spend the extra money for some "waterproof" fogs or if these will work well enough without letting water in them. Most trails I hit have water crossings in the Spring from all the snow runoff. Thanks!!

Does anyone know if the 2018 SR 2.7l 4 door 2wd are prewired for fog lights?

It’s actually pretty easy to pop the top cover off the steering cover to check for pre-wiring.
Just check out the picks at the beginning of this thread.

    Regards

Which wiring harness did you guys go with?I'm seeing negative reviews on the one from Amazon with claims of it not staying snug and popping out, most of the reviews were from Ford owners but I did see a few toyota owners in the negative review section as well.
    Thanks in advance!

Edit: also I was researching the button itself that comes with the winjet kit apparently gets hot to the touch after 10 minutes or so, I'm curious if there is another button I could buy seperatley that will fit the bottom left blank slot next to my ect button that is close to the oem blue back lights on the other buttons.

I went with OEM parts, except for the switch itself. You might pay more for OEM, but everything fits and is compatible with existing apparatus.

I got everything from forum member gunni1005/Gary @ Camelback. Search for Gunni1005 and shoot him a PM. He sent me all the correct parts, including the Intermittent Wiper Stalk. He beat the prices of my local Toyota dealer. Good luck

Updated a few links on the install and made sure everything works! Updated the fog light switch. I got mine from Air on Board which has just about every switch under the sun!
