After you load the tunes your going to have some serious shit eating grins on your face's ! I have alot of mods done on my truck and i have found that 1.03 91 works best for my truck. I have 4.88 re- gear, the SSO slimeline winch bumper, steal skids all the way back including the fuel tank, Sliders , RTT and all the goodies. It seems the stock trucks are having better results with 1.04 91. 1.03 pulls better and seems to hold the gears better on the Highway!

Mat will take care of you, he always does.

    1000+ km in, still enjoying 1.04A 91 for M/T!

Holy crap, people are reformatting to fix PC issues? Yeah, we definitely need a dedicated support thread.

Meh. That's a lot of money for not a lot of gain. If there were smaller pulleys available and better power gains down below 4k then maybe it would be worth it.

Positive ROI discussions are rare in Tacoland...it's what we get for driving iPhones, everybody makes an add on that costs too much because it will sell. That said, if the add on does well on the butt dyno and *you don't lose a relationship over the purchase, then it's just money and you'll make more lol.

*not a priority in every case lol

Oh, I agree and to anyone that wants a SC NOW then by all means.... I'm not going to bash anyone for buying it. I personally just don't find this option appealing. It is very limiting and there is basically no upgrade path after the initial $3200 buy in. $3k can buy a lot of stuff and is a good start on a turbo setup when that becomes available.

Absolutely. Since I'll most likely have my Taco until I croak, I'm excited to see what lies ahead for the engine. The Tacoma is too popular and there are too many gear heads out there who like to figure stuff out to not have some cool shit come out down the road a bit.

    Notes, solutions and review:

It does seem like the new P5Flash does not allow you to read the ECU or save what tune is currently on the ECU. We will need to get that from Matt.

Both myself and @solscooter had issues with our tune files, both emailed Matt and he took care of us within 24 hours - both trucks are now tuned.

    Tune - '17 TRD Pro - 93 Oct. (91, 1.04 Tune)

Cursory review - echoing what most others have said - throttle responsiveness is far better in terms of its linear feel. While I am not a real skinny pedal smasher, I dont notice a material difference in HP/TQ, but with that said, the truck absolutely holds gears better on the highway and doesnt gear hunt near as much - which I am attributing to both shift points and power increase. Dont think I have the clunk that others have noted as they allude to there being no way you wouldnt notice it. Literally only have 20 minutes on the new tune so lots more to experience but overall it makes the truck functionally more pleasant to drive for sure.

Happy with the whole experience - no ragrets - not even one letter.
