I apologize if this has been asked before, I have searched and came up empty handed. I have replaced the door speakers in my Tacoma and would like some more bass. The stock speakers were surprisingly bass heavy, even if it was mostly just noise. I am specifically looking to put a slim mount active sub behind the rear seats (I have a double cab) in my truck. I have found a subwoofer that seems to be good quality and fairly inexpensive as far as these kinds of things go. It is a Rockville RWS12CA Slim 1200 watt 12" powered subwoofer that comes with all wiring needed, minus the high input plug which I will need of course, for $119. Does anyone know what the dimensions are behind the seat with it up? The dimensions listed are: 24" Length x 15" Height 4.37" Top Depth x 6.65" Bottom depth. If no one knows, I will probably just end up making a cardboard box in these same dimensions and see what happens. The link to the sub is below. Also, I am not necessarily looking for a 12", or as much power as this one has, but its only $3 more than the 10" with less power so if it doesn't fit, I will probably go with that.

I looked at the same Sub package and it should fit if you remove the back panels from behind the rear passenger seat. Now if you do not want to remove those panels, this box will fit inside the storage compatment but wont be as cheap when you add a sub and amp to the deal as the Rockville all in one.

You can find the box at Fry's for like 42 bucks I think, but then speaker that fits it is like 75 and amp is at least 65 as well. Let me know what you go with as I am like you, looking at all my options right now.

Thanks for the info, it will probably be until July at the earliest now since I've gotten pretty busy lately and I get paid once a month. I don't really want to lose those panels. I had them off for a couple days while I was working on running a speaker wire to the bed of the truck and there is a ton of road noise without it.

I just ordered the Box I recommended myself and will be ordering the matching speaker and an amp later today. I will let you know once it all comes in and I get it installed how it works. The Road noise I did not even account for so I am glad I did not go with something that forced me to remove the panels from the back so far at least.
