I have been very happy with my GMG. At the time Traeger was going through its growing pains of moving to China production and had tons of bad reviews. GMG didn't have that.

I have delt with GMG customer service, they didn't question my issue (My outlet surged, cracked, and ended up blowing the ignitor. GMG sent me a new auger, ignitor, and control panel (upgraded me to wifi) for free. They worked with me on the phone and truly seemed to only care about me getting fixed and smoking again. They even told me about work arounds until my parts arrived. I have the middle size... Daniel Boone.

My dad has the little travel one... 110 and 12v. He loves it too. Has it on his motorhome. He was having an issue (ended up being user error) but GMG's CS sent him new parts without question.

I have the pizza oven attachment... that has made the GMG worth it. I can get the pizza stone up to 700º and cook an amazing pizza in 3 mins flat. Very little pellet consumption. Just ask @llibrm he has put a lot of my meat and pizza in his mouth.

This winter I plan to try cold smoking cheese.

I will add, for all pellet smokers, that I love LumberJack pellets best of all. I have tried many brands of pellets and this one seems to be the best: good heat, low ash, and great flavor. Their gold competition blend is amazing. The price is good too.

For general purpose propane grills in the ~$500 range, can’t go wrong with the Webers. The Genesis series is pretty sturdy, easy to assemble, and a pretty even heating surface. Get a good cover for it and maintain it well, it’ll last a long while.

You just explained my exact experience with mine to the T. I have to replace the cover every year but it keeps the BBQ nice. Plus I always wash it like a car every couple of weeks. It still looks brand new after 6 years.

I found a Genesis E330 under a stack of new Genesis II’s at homedepot. They’d been discontinued when the IIs were introduced. Asked the manager if there was a discount for the original Genesis, gave me 15% off and then I padded it with 10% for military. Think I paid $550. Couldn’t have been happier.

@02YotaGuy I'm popping in here to remind you to do the PHH on your cruiser before you move. Mine blew out on the road yesterday and puked my coolant everywhere. Noticed it immediately and shut down, but it is a hard thing to fix on the side of the road. Typical time to replace this 2" section of hose is 4hrs with proper tools and good workspace. I'm gonna bypass mine and remove the stock hardline so it never happens again.

Time to get new boots for work. Anyone have any suggestions? They gotta be steel toe or composite. They only have a few selections, since the company pays for them. Thinking about the Timberland pro titans or the ttmberland pro pitboss. Theres also some DR. Martens, Rocky alpha, and Georgia steel toes.
