I just picked up an IQ ULTRA LITE 3 pin with retina lock.
Never realized the torque you apply even though you hold the exact same way.
Just the skin in your hand can make you torque if it sticks on the grip.

I had no problem setting up the retina lock unlike some reviews.

I have one on my bow, I like it. I try to make it a habit to remember to set it back to 20yds after shooting different ranges. That way if you forget you dont shoot over the animal because you left it at 40+yds ;)

You can easily miss a deer with this sight. Don’t ask me how I know.

The 5 vertical pins works the best for me.

Good to know and hear real world experience. I have a truglow 5 pin now, not a fan really. I mean never have used wither type of sight in the field since it will be my first year with a tag. I'll be hopefully shooting an elk this year with it so a little bit bigger target haha

the size of the target is the bonus, the problem is getting it in close enough and having a clear shot! And hope no one else messes up your hunt...;) Wind direction is critical...

I went from a trophy ridge 4 pin to an HHA one pin and love it. Don't worry about adjusting the pin alot when hunting, you'll get the hang of it and won't see it as a problem.

I went for a 5 pin slider because you don’t have to worry about sliding your sight till after 60yards.

I use a QAD and it seems like they are basically identical. Didn't check prices though. I just started shooting a fully contained drop away 2 or 3 years ago (QAD) and love it.

I have a QAD now. It's pretty good.

It came on my bow though, so I'm always looking a trying other things because I'm still learning.

The guys at my shop think I should try out a Hamskea Hybrid pro Hunter. They all swear by it.

    I have a ripcord dropaway.
Had to do something as my prev rest was not a full containment.
Walking in the woods sucked with your index finger wrapped around the arrow so it wouldn’t fall off.

    Shoots smoother also IMHO.
    That’s what it’s all about...

Yeah its a relic for sure but has seen plenty of action in the field. I like to take it to the range and watch people’s reaction. Its like if I pulled a porch carved long bow from the case...lol.

There are plenty of archery snobs in Seattle.
