They are rated for no additional weight, but maintain 2.75” lift.

Most with a shell like me (150lbs) they will settle to 2” lift or 24” center hub to fender. So if you add a rack and RTT you’ll be heavier and most likely have less lift than that. So it depends how much lift you want. It may be better and cheaper to buy the heavy pack and just remove a leaf to make medium if it’s too stiff or provide too much lift.

It’s less expensive than going medium now and buying the AAL to convert to heavy later. This way if it’s too much just remove one leaf and your back to medium. Save the leaf if you add more weight down the road.

I am about to grab Fox Level 3...it states a 1" lift on the front for the 3rd gens...how much life on the front makes the truck 'level'. I am not currently planning any lift on the rear.

I got ~1” of lift after settling. Theres room to lessen your preload if it’s too high.

So if the coils need to 'settle' do you wait to align after they settle or just align at install and there is not much of a difference to worry about...sorry- probably a real newbie questions.

I always wait until I can set my final ride height. So for me I’m going to install, drive around and let them settle, then set it to where I want and align. I have firestone unlimited alignments but I still don’t want to go multiple times.

I got an alignment right after, then let my coilovers settle for a few weeks and got another alignment. My truck is my daily so I wanted to get it done ASAP. Find a shop with lifetime alignments or warranty that allows you to get a second alignment after settling.

What is 'level' on a G3 Tacoma if you are lifting just the front? 1"? I am looking to just do the front with a fox setup- I don't really want to mess with the rear end. I am fine with level or just a little less than level. THX.

Grab a tape measure, go out to your truck and measure all four corners from the center of the wheel/hub straight up to bottom of fender. The difference between the front and rear is your answer.

I waited a week to let my coils settle before i got my alignment. To my surprise, I didn't really experience any 'settling'. My measurements are still the same as the day of the install. (Edit: it's been about 6 weeks)

As stated above, the best way to find out is to go and measure all four corners. In my case, I had 1.5" of rake on the driver side and 1.25" on the passenger side. I did not adjust my 2.5's out of the box and installed them the way they came. After install (+1/4 inch spacer) I sit perfectly level now. I anticipated 1/2" of rake but am perfectly fine with level. Just didn't want to sit nose high. And I've read that people have different results when installing them right out of the box. In most cases, it seems to be about 1" though.

I’m about 22.5 center hub to fender in the front after settling. Is That about 2 in of Lift?

I would never use a spacer with an adjustable coil over, it defeats the purpose of what you bought. And why do you want to raise it another .5"?

So it does not ride nose down and sits more “level”

Serious question are you really going to notice a 1/2"? Adding a spacer will make the shock longer than it was designed to be and could put your control arms past where they should extend, this could be a bad combination. Just crank the collar down and set it to where you want, if it rides rough then bring it back down. This is the beauty of adjustable coil overs, you can set them however you want.
