Long Travel BS Thread

I still ended with around 21.75” Don’t mind the upper link at bump it is incorrect. I need to fix it. But this is what I got done so far. Taking a break for now.

2" if you're doing a 3 link panhard with a single upper link

1.75" if you're running 2 tubes

 

just bought 6112 kit for the 4runner

 

you're dmz rear and mid in the front ?

not yet soon tho saving money right now for more part s and going with the dmz box in frame kit and want to push the bed cage out more so i can hang spare tire off the ass end of the truck for better ride also going to be rebuilding the front end too...

 

Is this a double cab? If so you are experiencing the same packaging problems as others before. Currently your 16" shock is restricting additional movement/travel, as well the cab is restricting your packaging and causing your shocks to go into a regressive rate. Generally people utilize an 18" shock and move the mount down the link, towards the axle to fix this problem.... Most linked double cabs are getting right in the 22" of travel range in the rear.

making full custom new shocks for the front there going to be sick but cant say to much about cuz my work wants me to keep it on the down low haha but yaa getting ride of the kings and going Bilsteins and going up to 600 pound spring rate 18"coil flat spring seat and all new bolts and nuts and unballs

Not until I go roll cage and buy a new full size truck. I still use this truck to pull some stuff around.

Yes double cab. Rear cab mount is in the way of up travel. Limiting the up travel to 12.5-13. And down travel is around 9” down. Using a 14” coilover. I’m fine with the travel numbers because I only have TC 3.5 in front running about 11” of travel. This is all on paper so I’m pretty sure it might be different once I start putting things together and start cycling.

 

Front end isn't gonna do anything as far as towing/ pulling stuff. That's all in the rear suspension. And going wider up front will only stabilize it more

 

I cut the shit outa the cab mount. Easily gain another 2-4 inches
