I see. They are different than the scepter cans that are available here.

Thanks for the sceptre idea. I currently carry x2 sceptre Jerrys. The type with small 1.25" (or so) lids. This is problematic in the fact that I sleep under the shell and have no where to put them.

    My options include

    - Second Aux tank with transfer pump
    - Bigger main tank
    - Swingout with atleast 2 Jerrys
    - Bed mounted tank. Problematic with sleeping in the bed.

Just putting ideas down on paper and interested to see peoples thoughts

I assume you take the cans out before you sleep in the shell...

Currently, I carry 2 cans on my teardrop. I am building a dual swingout for my rear bumper - one side will carry 2 fuel cans.

Yes, swingouts make it a pain to get into the bed - but I find them to be a great advantage for carrying fuel cans and a spare tire.

What’s everyone’s set up for kitchen clean up? Right now I just use paper plates and plastic forks and whatnot, and pick meals with very minimum clean up. Now that I have a fridge, propane, swingout table, etc (better kitchen) I want to start making better meals, but with that comes clean up.

Usually fill up when I get 1/4 tank. Then remove the cans when I stop for camp. By the time supper is done there is no smell in the shell. Also keep the vents open.

A 20l pressurized scepter (with hose and nozzle) and a small rubbermaid tote is my solution to washing up. The rubbèrmaid doubles as a holder for paper towel and soap when not being used as a sink.

3 little tubs or 2 if you like. Heat water in a pot on the stove and put the n one tub with soap and another tub to rinse, I think she stacks dishes in the third tocstart drying. You should have a strainer also to strain the food from the wash water so it can be disposed of in the trash. We dump the tubs then with no food n the water it doesn’t create any problems. Get identification clevrubs so they stack and you can store your soap and stuff in them

I soak crusty stuff overnight in water. The next morning I use some good camp soap and wash them out then cook breakfast. If you got a lot of bears around then I dunno. You can wash pots and stuff in rivers as long as you use that soap that's friendly to the beavers and fairies and shit.

Speaking of camping, academy has the 10 inch oven with the ring around the top for putting hot coals on top, for 17 bucks. I just ordered mine.th (6).jpg

Eh, let's investigate the Murphy. You look around from your camping spot, identify a spot to drop a deuce, carry a shovel, TP, latex gloves.

Then you walk a ways, dig a hole for the deuce. Don't want to leave the deuce exposed for flies to breed.

Then you dog-squat, clothing out of the way best you can, hoping the deuce is a solid one, drops right into the hole, no liquid factor.

No, just no. Backpacking, that's ok, having a truck there are better methods.

Coleman Bio-wipes and Scott Flushables are both biodegradable and cheap. Some biodegradable wipes are $30 a package, which is almost a dollar a wipe

    Just the basics
To each their own. Better is subjective. I've never missed the cathole and when I'm done there is rarely any proof I've been there dropping off the kids. If a toilet is available I'll use it but otherwise I'll dig a hole unless there are rules against it like on the White Rim. They request you pack it out and actually tell you if you are unable to pack it out please use the road area for catholes since it is already degraded and always packed down due to vehicular traffic.

And to answer other suggestions about wipes, yes they keep you feelin fresh!
Biodegradeable wet wipes and toilet paper will always go in the glove after wiping. I don't need to leave paper, even if "biodegradable" in the wilderness.

I've never been to a place that says no bush bogs. Guess that's a side effect of my habit for avoiding people when camping.
