Painted so i can keep in truck. Need wood, skateboard bearings and some threaded rod tomorrow to finish everything. No guarantees on the date though

Both. Thinking about 1/4" for the skin. Not sure on drawer yet. Suggestions? Or all the same?

I would look at aluminum sheet or even diamond plate for skin

Not a fan of diamond plate. And aluminum, cant weld it. I guess I could bolt it together.. more cost though.

I was going to polyurethane the wood, so its semi waterproof

Aluminum sheet could be riveted to frame just put down butyl tape on tubing after pre drilling holes

Or you could just use wood like your saying and maybe put a aluminum sheet on top piece to help wood last longer in the elements

What is this madness?? I don't think so Chad. Polyurethane birch might look good. Didn't you see the how-to video?

Thats a good idea. @fatfurious2 i have a rivnut tool you can borrow. Mount the rivnuts into the frame, then just bolt the aluminum skin onto it. Stainless hardware, of course. If you need it give me a shout. @ilubtimmyhos used it recently for his roof rack and just filled around the holes with clear silicone.
