While I certainly didn't laugh about the hi-lift mounts, I did laugh about soggy fajitas ;)

Finally got this crap mounted on the truck.

Need to move the hi-lift mounts to the other side so I can move the CB antenna to rear bed bar tab, throw the tire onto the cargo basket, and then wire and mount the rock light on the underside of the bed bar for a bed/camp light.

Also modified some @First World Problems Fab hi-lift mounts to work with the Curt cargo basket using some U-bolts...

FYI, this was plan C/D after a failed plan A and plan B on configuration.

New bedrack setup finished out enough for me to make the trip to Hot Springs. Still have a couple things I want to do to it... but it does what I intended for now.

All that I want to do to it is move CB antenna to one of the tabs on the rear bar, wire up an extra rock light underneath the rear bar for a bed/camp light, and add a dust light/camp light to the right pod tab.

Depending on how the hi-lift mounting holds up, will more than likely stay like that for a while until I need to get rid of the basket or something.

Thanks man! I am thinking of maybe getting a 2 gallon water pax and mounting it to the drivers side of the cargo basket as it should be plenty of space on that side of the basket for that. But will prob try and find a used one or something. Not sure what else I could put on the drivers side really.

Pretty sure I could fit a 4 gallon one there, but don't really want all that on there.

Hot Springs ORV is a great park and I will be back this year for sure for a weekend at least. If I don't make it to Moab or CO this year, I will be going to the Southern Cruiser Crawl event which is October 11-14th.
But it was a damn fun time, met a lot of great people and the hospitality was amazing from everyone. I rode in three different rigs that were all very capable and way more capable than mine so we did some hard stuff. I did get on some trails but since I had a drive back I did not want to risk breaking much, but still did some good trails and fun little sections in the park for sure. Now that I know the park a little, will be easier to get around and know where I am going next time I am there so will be hitting more trails in my own rig and hopefully with rigs that are in equal capability as mine.

It was hot and humid though which sucked, but was able to sleep at night as it cooled off enough.

Didn't win anything in the raffle, so pretty sure I am done with raffles for a while...

But other than that, for only being 4 hours from Hot Springs ORV... I will be going back a lot more to this park if I can, for the entire weekend I spent about $250 and that included the event registration, a membership to the park, gas, food, etc, and spending some money on lunch in Hot Springs on Sunday before I left.

Here are all the pictures I did take from the event though.

Yes sir! I could redo my cuts better the second time and make it wider and work a little bit better, but it works very well for my fridge and takes up the space of the 40% section of the rear seat. It is also attached better than just ratchet straps and now uses some hooked turnbuckles and eyelets on the handle of the fridge in the front, and an eyelet and a S hook on the rear handle to hold it in. It is very solid and does not move when wheeling hard either.

    It looks good.

If I do get a fridge, I’m also looking at the rear molle panels.

The ones that mount on the back of the seat like mine or the metal ones that mount on the back wall?

Just realize that when you remove the rear seat you will gain road noise. That is why I added the wood panel on the back wall with carpet and added in dynamat on the back of the wood panel as well to help with the noise from rear. Down the road I may go back and redo some stuff and add in some padding or something to help with road noise, but it has not been an issue at all with just the 40% section gone... also not having the camper shell has help as it no longer funnels road noise into the cab.

I thought about mounting the fridge turned to the side and on a slide, but not enough space to do that on the 40% section. But this way has worked out very well for me so far and I have been very happy with it. Not to mention having it this way allows my passengers to easily access it for road snacks or road drinks without issues.

I almost didn’t see this notification because I’m so popular.

But then I did. And now I’m going to blow this prank war out of proportion.
