The hose has not been sufficiently cut. That's why it is getting hit by the fan.

Which throttle body are you running 70 or 76mm? You notice difference? @o0opackersfano0o

@TRON 76mm. I dunno. I put it on when I put the supercharger on.

I just put a 76mm on last weekend. Definitely improved throttle response. Did the 1 turn CCW adjustment and it idled perfect

I’m contemplating getting a 76mm and bevel the Aluminum at the intake like @Roostfactor only draw back would be having to take out the 7th. Unless we could CNC the 7th injector to match

Just shows URD doesn’t do enough research and should of thought of this before selling the adapter... Props to @Roostfactor

76mm works great. I still need to port match mine to the s/c.

I’m running a 70mm ported to the s/c I was happy with the improvement over stock.

I need to port match mine as well and do the one turn on the idle screw. Every time i unplug my battery takes for ever for it to not idle at 1500 rpms. Probably this winter I will port match and try to port the intake plemum and supercharger too.

I’m thinking about selling my air raid intake and getting a urd intake again. I never drive in the rain or anything and now that I have a mesh grill the filter should fit. I wouldn’t before. What’s everyone thoughts? Should be better sucking in cold air up front. And I’ll heat wrap the intake.

I have urd tcai. I've drive in Seattle, in a down pour on the freeway with no problems. Stock grill needed trimming with a s/c. Trd pro grille works fine, so should a mesh grille. I have no rain sock or guard on mine either. No problems!

Thanks @TRON! Actually it wasnt even research, it was me being a nerd taking it apart and figuring it out. I started at half a turn and went from there. I found one turn ccw was about perfect.

How are you running the 7th?
I believe its 65mm and I think the 76mm adapter is also 65mm at the tapered end. Not 100% sure though.

Yes the 7th is 65mm. I’m running it with a boost controller. Is the adapter really tapered to 65mm? What was the outcome in mm after you shave down on the SC intake? @Roostfactor

I really dont remember. The pic below shows before and after port matching the inlet fpr the stock tb. When I installed the 76mm adapter there was just a tiny bit of material that had to be removed from the bottom of the inlet. The 76mm adapter tapers down to basically the same size as the ported intake for factory tb.

Be careful if your going to open it up. Material gets thin at the 5 o'clock position.

I ported my 70mm adapter to 70mm (it was probably closer to 67mm from urd) then ported the s/c to 70mm to match.

Regardless whether you run 70-76mm TB's, you need an adapter plate and a gasket to fit as well correct?
