Hey whats up everyone. Not a taco owner yet. Gonna head to the dealership tomorrow and try and get a 2018 DCSB 4x4. Is there any issues these 3rd gens have i need to keep an eye out for? Also, is there that big of a difference between the i4 and v6? Leaning towards the 2.7 because its tried and true. But i dont want to be passed by grandpa on his golfcart im trading up from a 06 xterra. Always wanted a tacoma

Yes, there is a big difference between the 4 and 6. Take a test drive before you buy for sure. Welcome to the forum!

My grandpa has a 2nd gen with the 4 banger and it is a dog. To him (and to a lot of people), it's no big deal but it was way too gutless for my tastes. That's why I suggest you test drive both first before you sign for anything.

Welcome to TW. Sync your phone with the head unit and see if it spontaneously crashes and resets, pop the hood and make sure braces have not separated from the hood. Good luck on the new purchase.
