I just never have good luck. When I had black matte wheels on my 2nd gen, literally every single time, no matter how careful I was it ended up all over the wheels. And that's in the garage with it closed. I even made a cardboard cutout in the shape of my wheel to hold up while I applied and it still got on them.

I agree with this one. Lots of YouTube videos about it. It’s cheap, you can by it at Costco and the big cans last forever. It’s not too glossy, makes the tire black, easy to spray on and wipe of excess.

Have the CG foam cannon, and don’t really notice a difference between that and the $10 Amazon one it replaced.

I can see someone using it on the treads and wondering what happened to their traction.

Any sling? I hate when it flies off onto the rest of the truck.

Zero. You don't cake this stuff on though. You spray it onto a foam applicator. Then put it on the tire. I'll upload another picture. 4 days and 60 miles since last application. All city and our weather has been nice...

Sounds like what I'm looking for. I have the glossy stuff now and wipe it down after applying, not the best but better than super shiny.

Here's the pads I ordered. I only paid $5 for mine. Not sure what's up with the markup. They are high quality and I expect them to last a long time.

That's what I'm talking about. You don't get that out of a Pledge can.

How long before you have to reapply?

This is the best tire gel I have ever used. In fact, I use it on all of my black trim. On the tops of the rear bumper, top of bed sides, all the seals around the windows, the black part of the mirrors, the cowl... I even just tested it on my black powder coated bumper. The PC has 0 UV protection and fades in moon light, this stuff seems to help protect it a bit and takes out some of the white fade. This stuff is safe if you get it on your paint or your wheels you don't have to lose your mind, just wipe it off in a timely manner and you'll be fine.

As far as putting it on tires, when you first put it on it has a very nice sheen to it with out a very wet look. After about a day it soaks in and gives the tires a nice dark black "new tire" look. I love this stuff just from all the different uses I get out of it. They have an applicator pad on the site they recommend. I highly dislike that and just use a regular foam applicator, easier for me to use.

Also as far as cleaning the browning of the tire, try using an APC cleaner. Be careful as it may be too harsh for the wheels.
