    Well if you think about it filling the radiator does NOT fill the block side up when completely empty because the stat is closed. It does leak in there slowly with the jigger valve

    Another question! Installing the new thermostat... Toyota says to install it one way but I’ve read that putting it in another way where the jiggle valve is facing 0600 or 1200? What have we found is the best way for cooling ?

    Also if you have some silicone spray for the lower radiator hose to help get both ends to slide on will help. That hose is tough, the hose and the parts it slides on to
    are an 1/8” or 1/4” off in size, so its tight but will fit

    If you use the compression fit hose clamps that are Toyota it'll definitely help get those on also

    How’d y’all remove the radiator? I’m dead aggravated right now. I watched a video of a guy with a 95 or a 98. It was 4 volts and he slid it up and out. Do I have to remove the grill and the brackets or am I missing something

    I’ve got it all together. I noticed two fittings at the bottom as if to hook up some hoses like possibly for an automatic transmission cooler? (I have a manual) Do I need to cap those off or are those not in the same loop of coolant?

    Those are for the auto transmission, you don’t need to worry about them,
    You can cap them off if you want

    I don’t have any caps at this time. I was just worried about losing coolant all over my buddies driveway

    There is NO radiator coolant in there, those are for the transmission coolant to go in there if you have an auto, so automatic transmission fluid would go in the lower holes connected with the transmission lines

    Fox 2.0 Coilovers in the front and Fox 2.0’s in the rear, Total Chaos UCA’s, Al-lpro expo leafs, K&N cold air intake, TRD headers,Magnaflow catback exhaust,URD short throw shifter, switched out my 60/40 bench seat for some Tacoma Limited seats, Replaced the vinyl shift boot for a leather one, completely soundproofed the cab w/ Frost King. Replaced stock radio with a Pioneer AVH series head unit. Focal component system w/a 10" sub powered by 2 Alpine amps. Weathertech floor mats. Line-X'd the bed. SCS Ray 10’s, Installed an A.R.E. MX series camper shell. All-Pro Apex front bumper w/ All-Pro skid plates all the way back to the Trans. Low Range fuel skid plate.
    That was my second guess. My first guess was they made two different radiators and they accidentally gave me an automatic. I then realized they more or less acted like a heat exchanger and we’re not in the same loop.

    Will do. I’m suppose to drive to southern Louisiana tomorrow from Western NC. After filling her up I’m going to drive her around for a few hours and make sure she’s good before I make the long trip.

    All done with the install. Took her for a ride and she started to run hot. I let her cool off and she was low (must of hit an air pocket) topped her off and she’s running 186*-188*

    Nice temp change, it was 202 and 212?
    Now 188 that's a big drop in temperature make sure you get all the air otherwise it'll run hot
