    New Taco OR

Previously, I have always driven compact cars. Last vehicle was a Mazda 3. I came to a crawl over every speedbump in the road.

With my New OR trim, I may slow down a little bit, but I generally have been taking them at a much higher speed. I feel the "bump" over my Bilsteins, and it is quite satisfying.

Am I correct assuming that I won't damage the OR over a plain-old road speedbump? I figure with the ground clearance and the Bilsteins, it should handle a bump just fine.

Of course, I am an idiot, and this is all new to me.

    thanks!

lol I had a few rice rockets, I feel your pain.
The suspension parts IMO are consumables. Shocks, springs, bushings will eventually need to be changed wayyyy later. I wouldn't worry about it.
    Have fun be safe.

According to the old mythbusters, it doesn't matter how fast you go over a speed bump in any car as long as it's within reason. ~20 mph you should be good but if it's like 35 or more you might be pushing it in a regular car. But we have Tacomas :D

I put a set of super bumpstops up front and what a difference did that make...very smooth now..and additionally sumo springs in the back and that helped with all the heavy hauling I have been doing..

I sold a Nissan 370Z to buy my Pro, so I can relate!
If you think the OR with bilsteins is satisfying, the Fox setup on the pro is even better, like butter over speed bumps, speed humps, you name it!
    Just a sweet sounding psst-psst!

I hit potholes and bumps in the road on purpose in my pro, the amazing way it soaks them up in comparison to my car is so cool!! But when I drive my car I avoid those spots because it jars all my teeth!

after a variety of small awd and fwd cars and wagons, before finally getting a tacoma, i used to crawl over speedbumps for fear of things like the bars of a mountain bike on the hitch rack going thru the rear window.

now, in my head i picture my truck staying totally body flat, like in bj baldwin's videos. in my head...

I feel like my rear diff hits speed bumps sometimes after the nose clears. Really not going fast too...

I think that's impossible unless you go over it at an angle, (rear diff is between the rear tires). So probably not read diff. Could be exhaust or something. It'd still have to be one hell of a speed bump though

Trolling? I’ve never seen a speed bump high enough to engage your diff, even if you drove over one sideways... You have an OffRoad. That’s got to be 8” ground clearance, right?

This commercials are wild..... they don’t hesitate showing other brands and making fun of it... I would think that those commercials (Cadillac, Audi, Toyota) are material to sue them.. but I guess is not like that...

I have to go over 4 speed bumps to get through my neighborhood to my place. If I'm feeling a little hasty I can end up hitting them pretty fast. My suspension on my car is original, it's got 251k miles on it. Toyotas are tanks; you're good to go, otherwise people wouldn't be turning tacomas into rigs.
