I was running e's at one point. Til the dura craps blew their sidewalls.

Can't really tell with those boots on your billies if they're bottoming or topping out. But it's a hellava lot easier to pull your shocks and test if they're the issue than pulling out leafs.

Maybe combat it with some softer valve shocks? Because removing leafs will change the ride height.

they don't bottom out but they do top out when drooping... there's no way to fix unless I relocate mounts.

    they're custom

I already have the softest shocks I can get. The previous shocks were 255/70 now I have 170/60. Helped some but not much. Removing second from bottom leaf first.. will report back

Not enough to have a build thread.
I know it's off topic, but I'm going to ask anyway, where do you get your top bumps? I need some.

No I read that you've had them a decade.

If I read you correctly, you wanted the "extra" capacity to compensate for a supposed loss in capacity for the lift?

Off the shelf springs make compromises (hence reduced capacity), but custom ones shouldn't do that since they should give you the best # leafs/leaf thickness to suit your needs, so I'm thinking you got springs that not only lift, but give (or were supposed to give) you 200# over stock. Still doesn't explain the 400# you need to make it ride okay... Either way you got a bum deal.

A decade is a pretty good long time for a leaf pack to last, maybe it's time for Deavers or something? Or take them back to Alcan and see if they can rework them.

It's not really worth it for me to ship them back or buy new springs.. I'd rather tweak what I have as removing leaves isnt unheard of. When I get the time I will bust it apart and remove one leaf and see what happens. This week I'll be tending to my AC system tho so it may be a while
