So the really weird thing about that, the guy that was killed, actually killed a teenager in the 70s I believe in a hit and run. He confessed to it a couple years ago, after obtaining a letter from attorneys that he would not be prosecuted as it was past the statue of limitations.

It's freaky to me, as I have coached a few games on that field. Thiose kids will remember this for a long time.

Well just noticed today that someone must have hit me in a parking lot or something. My passenger rear panel is pushed in pretty far and there’s a scratch and a hole through the plastics fender portion over the wheel well. Not significant damage or really anything too noticeable but still pissed. People are pieces of shit.

If you’re going to be an asshole or do dumb shit at least own it

These are VERY weird when you are expecting normal almonds...I want to crush them up and use them to coat a chicken breast...

 

For sure different. That might be good on chicken, my wife would be pissed about the almonds, not the flavor.

 

My quest to put Sears out of business continues.

I got their app to win more points. I had cashed in $23 the middle of last month for a riveter which for some reason never shipped to store. I complained on their chat feature and they refunded me the points. I ended up having about $6 in my account as of right now so I fiddled with the app to get me up to $30 total and cashed in a $6 off $35 coupon.

I ended up with their pass through socket set for free that I can pick up in store tomorrow. My buddy had one when we did our suspensions and it makes disconnecting the sway bar end link super simple.

I’ve talked about it before but it’s no surprise why they are always closing stores. By my calculations, the last $68 worth of stuff I got from there hasn’t cost me a penny. I am always using the points to get random things I wouldn’t otherwise buy. I’d never buy a strap wrench as I typically wouldn’t have any use for it. However, like two days after I picked it up I was going an oil change on my Mom’s lawnmower and the shop that replaced the head gasket last season overtorqued the oil filter and the wrench made it super easy to get out.

It’s a bit of a grind to use the app but it’s pretty mindless when you’re just watching TV.

 

Morning everyone. Happy Tuesday. Been a series of rough nights lately.

For some reason, the two year old wakes up screaming bloody murder and only wants mommy. The night before I slept on the couch. Last night the wife slept on the couch with her.

This is fucking driving me nuts.

 

I am NOT a parent, and so obviously don't take my advice too seriously....but let her cry it out? Or is she too mobil where that doesn't work so well cause she can come invade your room lol

 

Sounds like night terrors. My nephew had them when he was little. It took a long time for him to grow out of them.

 

Problem is that I'm trying to sleep because I already go to bed late as it is, because of cleaning up, doing work, getting ready for the next day, etc. Plus I don't want her to wake up my son, because then instead of one "problem", we'll have two. She's mobile but she's in a crib, so she can't really get out. We've tried letting her cry it out... Didn't work.

 

Not what I wanted to hear...

 

I know. He would wake up in a screaming fit of terror - genuinely petrified. A calm response did help relax him but he needed someone near him for him to feel safe.

I think the clip of the truck has posted in here already but with the truck body stabilized you can really see how much the suspension is working

 

To be honest with you I don't think it's night terrors. She's nothing like my oldest was at that age. She's always been super clingy to her mother, and I don't think the trip to TX helped... My wife would lay down with her to get her to fall asleep, and ever since then it's been like this. We're going on two weeks now just about, the same thing every night, or almost every night. I don't know how much longer I can take it. It's affecting the little sanity I still have.

EDIT: As it was, before the TX trip, my wife already had to sit in a rocking chair with her so she could fall asleep. She's always been difficult to put to bed. Total opposite of my son. If she was my first, I can honestly say I would not have had a second.
