Lee have you arranged a meeting spot in Ocala? I assume Richloam is flooded still raining here in S.FLA

I guess I should be glad I broke that chain years ago, unfortunately, for all her faults and our moral and ethical incompatibilities, she loved wheeling with me. I got really lucky there. Not so much with the rest of the package.

No, I figure with meet at Richloam and give it a chance. Maybe @Sholden223 knows some less extreme trails we can run. If we can't make it down the first trail, then I guess we'll have a confab and decide if Plan B is the better option. If so those of us that want to head up there can convoy up and anyone that doesn't want to go that far north with us, can bail with no judgement.

Roger that. I have no complaints really with my marriage she is a hard worker and understands my passion for my Tacoma. To be honest the factors I'm weighing out are traveling,Fathers day weekend and trying to get the HC on before than.

Well, there's no doubt we'd love to have you there, John, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Besides, this thing has blown up into a way bigger group that was anticipated, so other than your company we'll miss, it won't be a problem if you want to skip it. Hell, I'm starting to wonder if I'll be able to make it. I still don't have a tracking number on my LBJs from Low Range, although I emailed them and they said I should expect them sometime mid week. It just makes me nervous I never got a shipping confirmation.

I'm also debating with myself if I should just run distilled water in the radiator for this trip instead of my $30 bottle of Toyota coolant just in case I spring another leak, haha.

BTW, it's been two days now and not a drip of water on the ground. Good sign the hack repair is holding.

Thanks Lee. I think you have one of the best turnouts for a meet. Yeah if you spring a leak in the radiator it definitely be $30 down the drain.Im going to start prepping tonight disconnect wiring and see if I can get the old dented bumper off.

So...Low Range Offroad FINALLY sent my a shipping confirmation with a UPS tracking number. o_O

So I went to UPS Tracking and put the number in and...

I honestly don't know whether to be thrilled or annoyed that I just got the tracking number today. It's like I'm both :yay: and:annoyed: at the same time. Maybe I'm bipolar?

I've gotten shipment notifications after I received the item in question. It depends on the shipper. Personally, I prefer that to getting a shipment notification then getting "awaiting item" for 2 weeks when I check the status on the shipper's website...

That's low range for ya, I had a bad experience the only time I bought from them and haven't bought from them sense.

Speaking of, it's been a week since I ordered my tires and they still haven't shipped and they promised delivery 2-5 days after ordering...

Seems to be going around. In fairness though, I've bought a few things from Low Range and never had any issues before. What happened with you, so I'll know how bad it can get? I mean, I couldn't have got the 555 upper ball joints from them for $40 cheaper than NAPA charged me...had they been listed when I was looking for them.

Well, that's actually what happened when I ordered from low range lol.

The tires are coming from 4 wheel parts, where they were, and still are, listed as in stock. I'll be making a phone call when I get home

Good news! I got balls! Great big steel ones! But you guys already knew that. But now I have a brand new set of 555 Lower Ball Joints. Hopefully I'll get'em on the truck tomorrow. It'll be interesting to see if the weird unpredictable steering issues I've been having go away.

Honestly, I might not get them on until Thursday. I forgot I gotta paint'em first so that match the rest of the freshly painted crap under there and don't instantly turn into rusty looking PsOS, haha.

Had to cancel my tire order because "in stock" means "won't ship for another 30 days". Had to shell out another pile of money for a different set while I wait 3 days for my refund for the first set . Maybe I'll have tires by then.... maybe

Dude, that effin' sucks. I assume you ordered from somewhere else, or did you just get a different type of tire? (I told you you shouldn't have let the LBTs go until after this meet, haha. Gotta stike when the iron is hot though I guess.)

When I ordered my LTBs and wheels from them, I called the phone number they had listed on the website to see if I could get a package deal on the wheels tires and lugs, mounted and balanced. They cut the local store's throat by about $300 and I had no issues with shipping. Hopefully, Jon, did the same for you.

What really pissed me off about the local store is they wanted to charge me $100 to take the old tires off the truck and put the new ones on. I'm not talking about mounting and balancing because that was a separate charge. I'm talking about physically taking the lug nuts off, removing the tire and wheel, and putting the new tire and wheel on truck with the new lug nuts. I was like :luvya: that. I didn't just fall off the turnip truck. No tire place I've ever been to has charged to physically take the old tires and wheels off the vehicle and put the new ones on other than mounting and balancing.

Well...I got the new ball joint on the driver's side and put that corner of the truck back together and back on it's tars. Then I fired her up and let her run for about a half an hour. I hope I'm not premature, but the hack repair seems to have worked. No drips, although the A/C was pulling water out of the air by the gallon and the corner of my instrument cluster started to fog up. No idea what that means other than there's a lot of moisture still in the truck.
