Your switch should have 4 wires total. 2 of them are for your circuit you are switching (ie; lights) and the other 2 are for the lights on the switch. . the blue ones. You need to run those 2 to the ill+ and ill- wires. Then the switch only illuminates when your interior lights illuminate....as in all the other buttons and switches.

Thanks! Yeah I'd say it's easy. Just the two 14mm bolts and four exhaust hangers, took about 45 minutes. Sprayed some WD40 on the hanger then jammed a flathead through the hanger/grommet and pried it through.

It comes in handy for me. I have a Leer hard shell cap and a locking gas cap with no tether...before I got the Gas Hole I carried the gas cap around while fueling up as there was NO place to put it.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Put Bilstein 5100s all around and Cooper Discoverer 265/70R17 C-rated shoes on it yesterday. Rides like a dream.

Oh, and also had the MBRP dual cat-back exhaust installed. A wee bit noisier than I would have liked, but not bad. I can get used to it. Doesn't rattle the neighbor's windows or anything, and it's pretty quiet when cruising (doesn't drone).

(Those that say a V6 does not sound like a V8 have a valid point.)

In my last Taco (RIP Tania), I had the same setup for my light bar and it sat overnight for a good year and I never had any issues. Its a single small LED so you should be good as long as you are driving your truck semi-regularly.

FWIW I now have mine wired up "correctly" and can potentially snap a few pics of the wiring later tonight if you want.

We had a pretty good hailstorm here last week. Probably nickel sized hailstones, my blue princess (and sunroof) are just fine. It was loud, and I was scared for her safety...but its all good.

We had a hail storm a year or two back. The weather men forecasted it and while watching the news it looked like surrounding areas were getting hit.
I got scared so I ran outside and covered the (at the time) 4Runner with moving blankets I buy cheap from Harbor Freight. The hail came and was smaller so no worries.
4 bucks each and you buy 6 of them and just dry them after the storm. Cheap insurance.

My buddy in NM was not so lucky one time which is what threw me into a panic. They were home, and the hail was so bad it blew out one of those 2' x 4' domed skylights.
All three of his vehicles, the metal roof, the plastic kids play sets, lawn furniture, and even his motorcycle (plastic side plates, tank and even the seat) were all destroyed. His
    insurance covered it but still..........

    Glad you made out.

You can run the + wire for the Switch illumination to the Switch Illumination Wire of the Bed light Switch and just tap into that. Forget what the color of it is, but I used that when I wired a switch to control my DashCam Power.

I think those are a great idea for the pinch welds where you can make a groove to secure it.

But on surface that's not always evenly flat and uneven worries me that it'll decide to slip out and whack myself or someone nearby. I have that kinda luck. lol
