Who to see for squeaking brakes?

Hi, I am a new member.

    Two months ago, I bought a 4-cylinder 2012 SR5 with 35,000 miles from CarMax.

I am happy with everything, except the brakes, that I noticed squeaking the day after purchase.
I made an appointment within a week of purchase at the CarMax service department. I was surprised I had to wait a week.

They told me they ground down the rotors, (or something like that), but the squeaks never went away. I purchased an extended warranty from them for an extra $1200.

I want this fixed, but I can't make it into CarMax until November due to their limited hours, and I cannot take a day off without losing pay.
Does anyone know if a dealer service department would honor a CarMax warranty and fix them at no charge?

The brakes do not squeak with every application, but they squeak consistently after the first two or three applications each time I set out on a drive. They also squeak occasionally during stop and go driving.

If I wait until November, would CarMax even consider this matter under warranty, which is supposed to cover major repairs?

I just wanted some opinions before calling CarMax or a dealer.

I would also check the pads. Break pads have a built in wear portion that will squeak when it rubs against the rotor letting you know its time to replace them.

Brake pads and rotors are usually not covered under warranty. The CarMax extended warranty agreement specifically says they are not. It's their obligation to sell you a serviceable vehicle but the longer you wait the more likely they are to tell you that, as per their warranty, brake service is not covered.

The cars they sell are ostensibly certified by them.

Wouldn't they have enough sense to replace brake pads before selling the vehicle?
If not, there seem to be some ethics issues.

it also seems that when I brought it in to check the brakes after purchase, that they would have replaced the pads at this time.

    I called Carmax today.

Their service warranty is six months or 6,000 miles.. I made a tentative appointment for November 24, the first day i have off without losing pay.

I drive about 800 miles a month, so this should keep within their warranty.
