Just for clarification, do these come with factory studs? Also curious on the ARP studs. Stock length or only extended? and how much extra?

Either way, add me to the list. I just found a bad drivers wheel bearing not 30 minutes ago.

EDIT: Nevermind the ARP studs. I see you only have extended. And i see the price. I run 1" wheel spacers so that is a no-go on fancy studs.

The hubs are generic, like Dorman- the studs are of same grade strength. I do use Toyota mounting bolts.

    ARP 8740 chromoly lugs (2-3/4")
    +$99

The threads finish at 2-1/2", 1/4" finished end. Stock lugs are 1-1/2"
I could cut them, but it'd be a pain in the ass and wouldn't be a finished end; they're meant to be used with open ended nuts.

I'll add you to the list now

No need to hassle with that. The standard will be fine.

How about the 07-09 and 10-14 FJ Cruisers? If so, I can mention to members over at FJ Cruiser Forum.

Will the gb close as soon as you have 8 people? Considering this but can't pull the trigger just yet

Yes, as soon as I hit 8 the GB will be closed and start to the next one- no piling on at the end; it'll be ongoing and likely labeled Version 2..3.. and so on.
For those that don't want to wait, the regular offering is very competitive and available for quick shipment.

    I'm interested.
Where are you located? Currently at 70k on my odometer for my third gen and I do like to do preventative maintenance.

Pardon my ignorance but these are a direct swap of the existing hub and bearing, right? In other words I just unbolt the caliper and move it out of the way, remove the rotor and shield, unbolt anything else attached then remove the axle nut and bolts holding the hub on and pull it off?

Exactly as you describe. Easiest way to replace wheel bearings.

Ok cool, I just wanted to make sure I didn’t need anything else to do the install. I’m also debating whether to do it myself or pay my mechanic buddy to do it. It doesn’t sound like it would be much worse than a brake job and not quite as bad as a full suspension install but it’s been a while since I’ve tackled either of those things on my own. How long you guys think it would take to do the swap on both sides myself? We talking a one or two day thing?

If you are doing the seals as well, it's a decently involved job since pulling the spindle off is the easiest route. Anyone with amateur mechanic skills could probably knock both sides out in an hour, assuming they have the correct tools on hand.

Not a day, taking it easy is 2-3 hrs max. I would borrow O'Reilley's slide puller to guarantee an easy job. Make sure to have a small wire brush to touch up the inner bore/face of the steering knuckle.
