Trying to get my hands on a LOWER TRIM PANEL - Toyota (53911-04210) as seen in the picture.

    33D2368F-DE1E-4ADC-9A2D-47764C371617.jpg

I live in the Bay Area and my local dealership is asking $217 unpainted, which seems insane to me. Was wondering if you guys may know a site where I can find this part new or used for less than what the dealership is offering? Or should I just plasti dip the darn thing? My only concern with that is chipping since my paint is white underneath.

    Any guidance would be appreciated.

Did you check out the B/S/T threads? I'm sure ebay or TRDParts4you, or any other dealership's website would provide pricing.

I've seen this for about $110... sorry, can't remember where, but that should be about what the market price is. I would check with different dealers.

Hi Techman993, yeah I checked TRDParts4u and they do not have it on their site. They only have it for an FJ. I could not find it on Ebay, and other dealerships I found it for $125 but some wanted upwards to $85 for shipping, which comes out to the same or more than it would cost me from my local dealership.

    Does the $217.00 include tax?

Gotcha, your best bet might be find someone on here that has a aftermarket bumper. Dip would be a cheap and temporary option. Plenty of people hear dip their whole truck and don't see wear (myself included) even after a year of it being on the vehicle.

It would appear that $200 (includes shipping and handling) is the going rate for this part regardless where I look.

Ok buddy. I did some calling and find one at a decent price that is local to you. I found it for $140.00 and its about 19 miles from you. The closest dealership to you are a bunch of ass holes. Check your private messages.

I've found that that the dealers near me are selling parts at over MSRP. Also the issue at hand are those online parts guys seem to make up the profit on shipping and handling. Just saying.

My dealer is a total douche bag, he won't honor and internet pricing what so ever. I've approached him several times, even showing him the source of the pricing. He's got a pretty good racket going.

I live in Phoenix, and Camelback Toyota has always been great to me. I am fortunate to live in a large city and have a good dealership to work with. My other vehicle is a 2015 Yukon. Finally, after owning it for 3 years, I have found a good parts person. I used to be afraid to ask for a better price, but not any more. I work too hard for my money to throw it away. Worst they can do is say no, and you just move on to the next dealership. If they were smart, they would give you the better price rather than letting you walk and take all your business somewhere else. A smaller margin is better than no margin.

I remember when I needed a new one for my Corolla a few years ago and it was about $300. So a little over $100... not bad.

I’ve tried several times to get them to give me a discount. They claim “that’s below cost”! Which I find to be total BS! The MSRP price listed is what Toyota suggests they sell it for and still clear a profit in the part. They don’t care as they will just rape the next guy inline! The Lexus shop is the same way. A nice thing amount that is a lot of the part numbers interchange with the Toyota Land Cruiser. So I source the parts from Toyota. They are getting picky with me though saying they are not Toyota parts. Like the hell they are. It’s got Toyota stamped all over it. So is the Mazda shop is also way out of line on prices I look the price up on the OEM parts site then proceed to other sites. I’ve resorted to using a Toyota shop in Richmond. They seem to be the only ones that give a rats 2 cents! They also supplement their business with the online parts site. I don’t think my local guy is even interested in that. The parts guy is not very well versed. And the counter looks like an aftermarket auto boutique vs. Toyota branded stuff. Sorry for the rant!

Wow. I threw that part away when I put on an aftermarket bumper. I would have just given it away. :annoyed:

Excuse to upgrade to an aftermarket bumper? ;)
