We had a pretty good hailstorm here last week. Probably nickel sized hailstones, my blue princess (and sunroof) are just fine. It was loud, and I was scared for her safety...but its all good.

We had a hail storm a year or two back. The weather men forecasted it and while watching the news it looked like surrounding areas were getting hit.
I got scared so I ran outside and covered the (at the time) 4Runner with moving blankets I buy cheap from Harbor Freight. The hail came and was smaller so no worries.
4 bucks each and you buy 6 of them and just dry them after the storm. Cheap insurance.

My buddy in NM was not so lucky one time which is what threw me into a panic. They were home, and the hail was so bad it blew out one of those 2' x 4' domed skylights.
All three of his vehicles, the metal roof, the plastic kids play sets, lawn furniture, and even his motorcycle (plastic side plates, tank and even the seat) were all destroyed. His
    insurance covered it but still..........

    Glad you made out.

You can run the + wire for the Switch illumination to the Switch Illumination Wire of the Bed light Switch and just tap into that. Forget what the color of it is, but I used that when I wired a switch to control my DashCam Power.

I think those are a great idea for the pinch welds where you can make a groove to secure it.

But on surface that's not always evenly flat and uneven worries me that it'll decide to slip out and whack myself or someone nearby. I have that kinda luck. lol

Today I installed the OEM black grill bezel i ordered on eBay. It's a small touch, but i like it a lot. Next is debagding and then I'll be rid of most of my chrome.

Picked up my Taco last week and getting some of the smaller mods out of the way. Black tailgate inserts and got rid of the lonely V6, AJT Designs key fob with the vinyl inserts, OCD console organizer, Edbetos top tray, @Tacowiede radio knobs, obligatory Yankee background pic, and the @mesojdm gasshole, and Husky x-act fit liners front and rear.

Going back to the dealer today for the TRD Pro exhaust and TRD shift knob (cost and install included in my purchase price). Subaru tweeters are being delivered today, and TRD Pro grille and TRD Pro fogs in-transit.

TW has been a terrible influence to say the least....and there was no food involved, so the dog couldn't have cared less.

I really want to swap out my chrome bezel but I am worried about breaking tabs. Heard the tabs tend to break

they are pretty brittle. however, if you are swapping it out for a new bezel, then not really an issue.

So the tabs are on the bezel, not the grille itself? Sorry, I have not looked into this, but want the chrome bezel gone.

I broke 4 tabs on the chrome grill when I removed it because they are such a hard plastic that they are brittle, but I wasnt trying to save or sell it so I didn't care. They only tend to break when you remove them, so it's easy not to break tabs on the new bezel when you insert it

On my TRD Sport, the bezel and grill are held on by their own tabs (which makes since since the bezel seems to be a common element between the different trims other than the TRD Pro, which doesn't have the bezel)

I’ve had it for a total of 48 hours and I would buy it again. It’s made very well and looks great and a great conversation starter.
