As long as they have a seatbelt they would be ok. So the shell would be out. The backseat might work if there is a smaller kid or counselor. The first year I went I had my 1 ton dodge, and they were pumped to see someone with a truck bed to haul wheelchairs and other big gear. Most people have jeeps and storage is nill. Another thought, on the first inbound, and last outbound there are extra people. Medical staff, cooking staff, the people that run it so there is usually a few solo people that need a lift on those days.

Nice, I just sent Jay an email seeing if I could help too. Are you planning on camping somewhere along the way to break up the drive? I'm looking at a 4-5 hour drive from the bay.

Cool. If he writes you back let me know. I've emailed him twice and haven't heard back yet. He may just be busy but its also possible I'm screwing up.

My email app seems to be crashing instead of sending emails. Would someone be willing to email him for me? Here's what I was going to send.

    Hey Jay

My name is David. I saw a post on TacomaWorld about you needing offroad vehicles for transportation to and from Camp Nejedly I'd like to offer myself and my Tacoma up for service. I will make myself available all three weekends as needed. I have a HAM radio for communication. Fair warning, my truck is an access cab, so the back seat is small, but there will be three seats and a 6 ft bed (with a camper shell) available. Please let me know if/when you need me and any other information that might help.

    At your service

That has me leaving around 3 AM if I want to try to leave from home the day of... not gonna happen.

Mind if I tag along? I can head out right after work on Friday and be in truckee around 8 PM.

That's how I did it in 2016 and will this year as well. Rolling with cab and bed completely empty; these folks have a lot of freight that needs hauling in addition to the people...
Take it easy on I-80 that weekend. The CHP officer we met last time told us they do maximum enforcement that weekend because of Hot August Nights.

I'm still down to camp. If we stayed at my place we'd still have to leave around 5
