That’s kinda what I thought... :annoyed: Can’t seem to catch a break. Worth the upgrade to a high output since I eventually plan to get a winch?

I've never run a winch so I'd let someone else chime in on that...

BTW a quick run through google shows that there could be other things causing the voltage to spike in your truck, a bad alternator is the first culprit but before you go down that road I'd take it to someplace like AutoZone where they can check it for you for free. They should be able to run a test on it real quick like they do the battery and starter and be able to tell you if it's on the fritz or not.

That’s true. I’m currently 2 hours from home to turn in a construction bid for work so I’ll have to mess with it after. Really hope it’s something simple because it hasn’t been happening much just once every 3-4 days

When does the squeak occur, under what conditions?

I have this real deep 'creak/squeak' sound coming from my passenger front suspension area when going over dips or big bumps offroad, or when turning over a curb on the street or big speed bump. It coincides precisely with the cycling of the front suspension on that side. I've started thinking it might be my be my control arm bushings (not sure which ones) but I'll take a look at the lower heims as well...see if it goes away if I lube them.

@Teke mine used to spike when the plug started falling out of it once. The OE alt is duty cycle controlled so if the plug falls out the voltage shoots up

My 5-Lug is now the overflow storage for my garage, and my ‘06 Civic is just sitting there looking sad.

Both have registration issues so for now they sit there.

It's more like a hose or something rubbing than suspension. I can get on the bumper and jump, doesn't squeak with the shocks or so. More like something loose

I hammered mine in. but just want to see how it looks compared to others. and what others are doing to cover up the plastic that they cut off. I tried a heat but but I think I might need to reshape cause it keeps coming loose.

It's the only mod you can do with reckless adbandon for safety and a 5lb sledge.

@chowwwww Literally just bash the fucker down with a hammer and if for some reason it still rubs bash harder or consider an alignment. Sometimes a heavier sledge helps too. Some folks spray stuff over it too

+1 to all that - I ended up bashing even more than I show in those pics, and then reforming the plastic a second time to get more room for compression. My guess is that I'll have to again, once I get some UCAs, so don't be shy with the hammer.
