You need to lower your font end a bit to make that stop happening.

Would've been easier to get SPC's. I prefer not to beat this shit out of my truck if possible. I clear 33x11.5r16 w/out touching cab mounts. I do need to hammer the pinch weld a bit but not completely destroy that entire area. I understand some don't GAF about destroying their shit, I just don't fall into that category!

I haven't replaced it yet. I only took it to my mechanic on Saturday. I'm in the process of figuring out if I should, and how to, do it myself, or if I should just take it to CarMax, and have them do it through the warranty.

If I do it myself, I'm thinking I'll replace the Carrier Bearing and Grease the Slip Yoke at the same time, since I'll have the drive shaft out. But if I do it myself, I might not have the time until July lol.

I’m not “destroying” it. I’m doing exactly what I bought my truck for, which is a play toy. Like I told the other guy, I know I could have gotten an alignment and gotten another degree or two of caster and cleared, but that’s $100 and I’m not sure when I’m going to get one next. This cost me nothing.

Since I already had to cut the cab mount and hammer the pinch weld, what’s the difference if I do it a little more?

Also, do you clear full stuff, lock to lock? I pulled the coil over and tested it, cleared everything, and I STILL rub when wheeling. So whenever someone says they clear and don’t touch anything, I’m a bit skeptical.

Modifying isn't the same as destroying.

I had the same stuff done to my truck and still have rubbing in the front. I dont know how people say they don’t rub with bigger tires. They must drive in straight lines only I think.

I don't think you can have 33s and not rub on the cab mount or pinch weld. My cab mounts are cut and my pinch weld is pounded down too and i still rub sometimes.

Looking for a couple of Grade 8 12x1.25x40mm bolts to install a BPF Heavy Duty Recovery Point I picked up on here second hand. The online source I found wants like $17 for shipping and my local Fastenal doesn't stock them and I'd have to order a box of 25 to get the 3 I need. Anyone know of an alternative source to find the needed hardware?

That’s good! Most people don’t. I honestly thought it’d be an end all be all to rubbing, but guess it was more of a starting point for me.

I cut the pinch weld off with a cut off wheel, then mig welded the seam. After that, flex seal to the rescue. No leaks. Perfectly flush seam that's every bit as structurally sound as orginal. Cab mount is cut as far as possible. Clears 33"'s at full lock and full stuff by enough I feel comfortable with 35's after fenders get trimmed a little more in a few days.truck is not "destroyed", just different.

I laugh when I hear people say they clear big tires without cutting. Mall parking lots dont give a very clear picture of tire clearance

That’s what happens when you hit stuff with a 3lb hammer  you’ll see when you go to “hammer your pinch weld a little bit”. The bottom part is fucking stout and requires some really hard hits.

I have SPC UCA's & caster @ 3.9 & 4.4. I don't rub on the cab mount but do on pinch weld. Believe it or don't. Doesn't mean shit to me either way.

I may do as the other guy said & cut the pinch weld off & mig it back together. It'll look good & hold well.
I've trimmed pinch welds before & found that putting small cuts in them helps tremendously on keeping it civil. Having said that, I've never done it on a Taco so it may work out differently.
