Ok, this is getting to be a bad habit with me. Not today, not even yesterday, actually last Friday, I switched out the Hikari LEDs in my Low Beams and High Beams for some Xenon Depot Xtreme Pro LEDs.

There was a coupon code that made these $88 a kit (set), with free shipping. Not sure if that is still active but @XenonDepot is a Vendor on here and their customer service is stellar. Steve or Danny are great to work with.

My review goes a little like this (the link to the rest is below):

"Sup guys? So I had a chance to get both the High Beam and Low Beam Xenon Depot Extreme Pro H11 LED kits adjusted and installed today. Here's a link to the bulbs this review is about:

    http://www.xenondepot.com/H11-Xtreme-LED-kit-pro-p/xt-led-h11-pro.htm

Some things to think about for those of you just coming into the thread at this point. About mid way through a lot of testing was done by a lot of people and these guys went to great lengths to provide some of the best reviews I have ever seen. Their contributions are what have carried this thread to nearly 3k posts. I myself was schooled in this thread, and made my decisions based on those reviews. I really appreciate all they have done for everyone. I suspect because of them the 3k post mark will continue to grow. This technology continues to evolve and continues to get better. So to all of them I say "Thank you" !

Also for the new guys coming in, my review for the Hikari Philips LEDs in the High Beam and Low Beam slots showing before and after adjusting the vertical (up) position is here:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/led-lighting-conversion.436865/page-119#post-17566761

This is not my final review of the Xenon Depot LEDs. Heat and durability tests will follow.

Just so we are clear, I did not readjust the vertical because I wanted to be able to compare.................."

Note - The rest of the full review with photos of the installation and night time pics is here:

Excellent pics and evaluation in your post.

Thank you for demonstrating this serious upgrade. Great improvement over the factory lighting.

And yet again...........I have scoop envy. My hood view just seems lacking now.

Looks like he is in WA, so he should be alright, but you're right about those Oregon pump attendants. I grew up in Vancouver, WA (borders OR to the north) and when I was in high school and had to fill up in Portland, I always had to argue with the attendant to let me pump my own gas. I had a '68 mustang with the cap in the rear, just above the bumper and if you didn't hold it at the right angle, it would spill gas all down the rear. One time I had an attendant demand that she pump for me because it was the law and she knew what she was doing. I reluctantly let her do it and 15 seconds into it she was spilling gas all across my freshly cleaned car. I pumped the rest and got a free tank of gas out of it.

Caliraised Fog Light Pod adapters with 3x2 amber pods, my sweetheart got me for my Birthday. 66EEC344-0E35-48D1-8732-99CB3435C898.jpg8180F19E-9546-4C4D-A3E7-0073A9E3C837.jpg
Pretty easy install. The wiring adapters sucked, they don’t click secure on the power side connection. Had to secure them with electrical tape, and the internal wiring is poorly connected. I think they sourced out to the lowest bidder. I do like the look though. I’ll take some night shots later.

Edit: Caliraised did send me a new set of connectors that worked perfectly, maybe the original set was from a bad batch.

    Sorry, bro....but I gotta laugh.

Everyone wants to de-chrome......debadge.......and make their Tacos nekkid..........yet you then put on some mud flaps with badges. :boink:

Don't mind me, boss......I'm just an old curmudgeon who's holding out on all things chrome & likes my stinking badges. :quickdraw:

Thanks Greg, it was a real pleasure doing the detailed review and learning about my truck and the products along the way. I can honestly say that any LED is gonna appear better than the OEM Halogens but only a few are going to stand out amongst the bunch out there. And the technology is constantly evolving. One thing I like the most about the Xenon Depot bulbs is you can call and talk to a person if there are any questions or issues. I was skeptical at first and I am still not done testing for durability or heat since these don't have fans, but right now, all indications are very favorable. One special note is that most LEDs are not adjustable, unless you are willing to manually modify them. Some guys have that talent. I do not. These LEDs are adjustable. My reviews go into that in detail. I think that is the feature that sold me. I honestly think the models with fans are stable, but one less moving part is a plus for me and my luck.

Scoop envy HA! Anyone with that many grill hours shouldn't be envious about anything! You know fire has been the envy since the dawn of time!

Oh, here is the Unboxing and Kit description review in detail. I talk about the adjustment feature here:

    Well played.

I had a '66 Mustang and miss her. Lucy was her name.

There's another Stang in my future....hopefully.

    Your truck looks great.

Thanks for the candid experience with the connectors.

Looking forward to the night pics.

I See what you are saying man. But I couldn’t use the kinda old school 4WD decals on the flaps and keep the 4x4 badge on the tail gate I just felt like it looked funny. Then the v6 badge just stands out so it had to go. I’ve also kinda done this to all my past cars. To each there own ✌️

But I am thinking about doing something with those bumper caps

    It's all good.

I was just messing with you. If I wasn't so dang lazy on my day's off, I'd install the mudflaps that have been sitting in my growing mod pile.

I'm an oddball 'round here with my penchant for chrome.

It's likely due to having a black Taco. If I had one of the blue colors or Quicksand....then I'd be all about blacking out my badges.

    Love the stormtrooper look!

Off topic, but did you mount your racks? Or request placement? Your front bar looks more forward than others. I just installed mine and put the front bar more towards the front for a future potential light bar mount. My bars are recomended to be installed towards the rear of the front window.
