You know you're loyal to Toyota when you rig out a tundra lmao. I need a flatbed dodge but don't want shop bills.

I'm one of those people who Toyota could really make money off of if they would just come out with a 1 ton. I'd never recommend a tundra for a welding rig but I just can't spend money on another brand when I know Ima have issues with it lol

    What issues do you expect?

We didn’t have any issues with our 2011 3500 (cab and chassis, Aisin trans) until I totaled it, and we haven’t had any issues other than emissions BS (which is about to get deleted) with our 2013.

Any emissions or EGR problems are enough for me to stay away. I don't wanna buy a truck knowing I have to "fix it" right off the bat.

And just typical big truck problems. Usually have steering issues. Usually go through a trans or two. Usually have turbo/injector problems. Etc etc.

I have seen too many issues between family and close friends trucks to not get a domestic one ton until I 100000% need one.

People say "it's only been in the shop a couple times" when I want it in the shop 0 times lol. I'll stick with my toyotas as long as I can.

In theory: protection of rock strikes to the transfer case.

    realistically: it looks cool.
