Nah not that big a fan of Mals awesome dog for work but takes a whole lot more control work and running to keep them from getting destructive.

Good evening folks. Picked back up working on the brush bunks (look like logging bunks but smaller) I started a few months back. Should have them finished by the end of the week. Hopefully I'll get them into use by the end of next week. Couple little projects to do before I can start brushing.

Curious how the Belgian Sheepdog or Tervuren compares to their Mal cousin when it comes to mannerism.

 

About the same nuttier then squirrel shit :} LOL I have handled a mal and we have / had over a dozen over the years mostly Sheep dog short hair black mask style a few Tervuren and the difference is minimal in temperament , train ability etc. You do not see them as K9 a lot as I gather from breeders agencies don't like the maintenance of the coat etc.

Very but it is not the cute part that is costly all puppies are cute lol just like kids it keeps them alive till they learn manners :} The blood lines and medical lines are what make them costly. We have used donated dogs and pound puppies and they work well with the right temperament and attitude problem we ran into a lot is underlying medical issues that do not show for a few years. Complete training of a working dog for patrol / narc or / bomb etc is about 7 k to 10 k you usually can't start till they are over 18 months add 4 months of training to work then on the street but if they have medical issues that show up at age 4 or so you just wasted a lot of money and time :{
