Just installed SPC UCA and the guys that installed it asked if I was planning on changing the lower control arms as well.
The original issue was that I was hearing minor clunking on the front right side when taking small bumps, not always but sometimes I would hear it. Some threads suggested that changing the UCA from stock to SPC may help. Now that I changed it, they also did the alignment and after it is rubbing on both sides of my front mud flaps.
Quick Fix, is to remove mud flaps, which is fine. But what do you guys suggest on doing?

Have any of you seen of SPC making a Lower control arm? any suggestions

Have them add caster to push the wheel further forward in the wheel well. With that said, you might need to remove your mud flaps anyway.

I think you'll get a lot more help if you post the alignment sheet and pics of your UCA balljoint position and LCA cams.

I don't have any suggestions. I did JBA control arms with my lift, great control arms. I can't complain about them. but have run into the same issue you have. my passenger side rubs just backing out of the driveway and it is obvious that the driver side has more space. I only have 265's on 16 with the stock wheels, I can't imagine what would happen if I had chosen 285's. I am going to take my truck to a different place in town to see if they can add some caster like no tech 4me stated above

go to an offroad shop that deals with alignments on lifted trucks. A lot of the shops have no clue how to align lifted trucks. I went through about 4 until I found one whom could and even they were not 100% until I told them how to make the adjustment to move the wheel forward in the arch.

Also impressed you have 285's, that is a freaking larger tyre, never understood the fat tyre craze, I am trying to go the other way and go somewhat skinny again on the tyres. 265 is what i currently have and I would like to drop that as narrow as I can and still get decent tyres.

Your caster is too low, go back get another alignment and tell them the target is 4*.

That clunk on speed bumps is swaybar. Get a swaybar relocate kit for 20$. I dont recall anyone running 285’s with mudflaps. You need to adjust the lr spa to 2* caster which is the UCA companys reccomended then adjust from there and use a heat gun to push in front bumper gaurds. Then decide if u need a cab mount chop. The pic looks like its rubbing on the cab mounts if thats the metal part to rear of tire. If so chop it for 150$ and be done with that. They sell cab mount chop plates online. But u dont replace lower control arms for this lift

That sounds very odd you rub with 265’s. I have 285’s no rubbing full turns so definitly get that looked at and fixed up.

Probably the most popular tire size out there for this truck along with 295’s. Plenty people pushing that weight around
