~2.5" in the front, probably ~3" in the rear. Next up UCAs, sliders, skids needed.
@Sociopenguin is the man! Always hooking me up with some awesome stuff. Big help from him, AJ and James!

Next year I'm thinking I may get a little more mod crazy with the truck. Especially if my wife's condition improves and we are able to take more trips. Starting to think about the bed tent/mattress thing. I keep seeing them pop up in the forums more and more and they looks like a great way to get up off the rough ground. That or I'm thinking about either a truck box or some kind of bed storage to move my tools, spare oil/coolant, and recovery gear into. I may do a few cheap appearance mods, and possibly look into larger tires/UCAs/CMC. Wonder if anyone in the KCTC (Kansas City Toyota Club) has a Welder I could use to do a CMC. I may do a more aggressive cut for future proofing. I'm also interested in the complete body mount relocation, but that may be more than is necessary for what I'll be doing.

Unless your future plans include 37's you won't need to relocate the mount.

Concur here lol. Most don't need to go that far. Most myself probably included don't even need a CMC lol.

Here is a thought on the whole RTT and what eventually led me to not get one. If you plan to go somewhere and wheel that is a lot of setting up and tearing down. You get there fri night set up, then sat morning have to tear it all down go wheel, after wheeling set it back up, you get the point. Plus that is a lot of weight up high killing COG so an already tippy feeling rig in certain situations either can't do it or feels even more uncomfortable. I just run my topper weight isn't as high as a RTT and sleep in the bed of the truck or set up base camp and can leave everything there. Makes the truck lighter when I go out to wheel not having all the camping gear and stuff with me.

You can do a CMC and not plate it back plenty of guys do it. Right now I keep all my stuff in tool bags and milk crates in the bed of the truck. I am going to build a drawer system to haul some stuff but want to be able to use bins so I can leave stuff that I don't need to bring every time.

    I meant like these... https://www.cabelas.com/product/Nap...VyjyBCh3Ifg0gEAQYASABEgIk4_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
Just as much setup as a ground tent. But yeah, I'd have to pack up and re-setup everytime I wanted to go out.

I'd only do RTT if I had an offroad trailer to pull behind me. But I plan to build a cargo trailer camper in the future anyway.

So in September, me and the wife (@gasparic104 ) will be headed down through Arkansas to San Antonio to see Nine Inch Nails in Concert on September 22nd. We are thinking about stopping at White Rock Mountain Campground and staying a few nights before. There's a couple of OHV parks nearby that I figure we could check out if we are feeling adventurous. Was wondering if anyone wanted to trek out, stay on the site with us since they are cheap and up to 6-15 people per site are allowed. Then we can head out and bid our farewells and you all can either stay or head home. We will be figuring out times and dates in the near future so stay tuned! (x-posted in my build thread)

It's fun driving a black and white pickup with a black brush guard, because some people on the highway seem to think I'm a cop. A month ago I was going down I70 and had a charger that was driving real slow (probably high) pull over on the side of the highway when I got near them.
Then last night I had a beater crown vic run from me when I got near them. They literally took off at like 100mph and took the first exit, which happened to be my exit. I came down the ramp and they ran a red to get away.
Always a good laugh. Wish I had a dash cam to record these shenanigans.

Side note. I had my truck parked next to my apartment (gated community no less) and someone decided to rifle through my bed cubby. I guess they didn't want my dusty/dirty ratchet strap that was in there, and it looked like they tried to close it back but couldn't get it all to fit. (small cubby on pass side.) Awesome. I can't wait to move.
