I need to call the county treasurer office and see how the hell they value these things. So crazy how it’s vastly different from county to county. My father in law paid 314 for his 2017 taco in horry county. It’s like they throw a dart at a board and come up with a number. I’m curious to see how much my taco goes down year to year due to depreciation.

Currently 647 pm. Sun is going down. 100 degrees and 16% humidity.

My app says Greenville is 74 degrees and 64% humidity at 947pm. Meh. Too humid.

NC appraised my 2003 Toyota Tacoma at $4010.00.

    County Tax - $28.07
    Concord City Tax - $19.25
Concord City Tax Vehicle Fee? - $15.00
    Annual Registration - $96.00

    Total - $158.32

    If I found another 2003 4X4 3.4 Manual for $4010.00 w/ <170,000 miles...I’d have two trucks.

When I first moved here- our BMW X3 (paid 37k) was 2 yrs old, property tax was 950.00 or so.

Sold it for a Odyssey minivan (paid appx 38k) property tax went down to 850.00 or so. We kept it for 10 years. Always had to pay more than 500.00!

Vehicle registrations may be cheaper in NC and other states. My part of SC is expensive! But that is offset by so many other things that are less expensive.

I lived in New Orleans 10 years ago. When you move to Louisiana from out of state you have to pay 2 years of taxes up front. If you move in less than 2 years, well Louisiana thanks you for your contribution.

A tag for a 7 year old Honda Civic cost me $650.

@BravesTaco95 @Bubbles Sure didn't look like a sticker stuck to a plate, the pic doesn't show it really well. NC you're able to get a sons on the Confederacy plate.

I know here that it affects it if you live in the city limits. Anderson has City taxes which causes the county taxes to be lower. Supposedly comes out about the same.
