My wife's Jetta glove box latch broke. Long story short, 42 fucking steps to fix that fucker, starting at the fucking rear console ash tray between the front seats. All of it extremely embrittled plastic. And one of those "I left a tax form in there" like 4 days before tax day. Because that's where I keep my tax forms with my SSN on them. That was a dark, dark week. To say nothing of plugged sunroof drains, a trunk latch that broke on me when I was borrowing it for some fucking reason, inexplicable electronic fuckery of every imaginable (and unimaginable ) type, random fuel cutoffs that could not be replicated....I could go on.

More shit then I ever planned on doing
Yeah my brother windows would all go down while just driving down the road and stay stuck down till next day. The would work perfect for a month then do it again.

Yeah. I'd move the car out of the driveway and open the rear windows to exercise them...and...well, you know the rest.

I'm trying to put in the extended bolts in my cross member for my relentless t-case skid and I got the inside bolts out one at a time and the new ones in but the outer ones don't want to budge under the pressure. Figured id ask around before I take the hammer out and break something. 20180605_171235.jpg

Lift a little with a jack to take weight off.

    ...too much shit to list.
Just put a floor jack under the crossmember/plate and give it some slight upward force. Bolt will hammer right out.

If your under it while lifting with the jack enough to remove the weight you can feel the bolt loosing most of the time no hammer needed.
