Yeah 96 it was intoduced but i dont think that many came with any. But yeah 97-98 had one if you got the trd package. And it actually works well, plenty of power for the old little t100s

But the 5vzfe in the t100 is different then other 5vzfe, they use a different transmission and Transfer case so a r150 wont fit, thats why you see stuff for 5vzfe say “except t100”

Not 100% sure but i think the bolt pattern on the engine wont accept a R150 and ik they use a different trasnfer case, they had a RH drop transfer case

Engine is physically the same (they do have EGR tho) trans is a taco trans mated to an earlier passenger drop tcase, front end diff is basically a supra rear diff with reverse cut gears.

Yeah it's decent, not great not bad. Essentially the same thing a 5lug has in the rear. They really aren't super strong (I'm talking old 80s supras), but you can steal the LSD from them and put them in the 5lugs or the front of 89-95 minitrucks, 4runners and t-100s

It's a 7.5 and yes. Your axle is an anomaly as far as Toyota is concerned. 8.4 but 5 lug... I don't even know where you could get replacement axle shafts if you broke one, I'm still not 100% that it is an 8.4 and not an early 8 or a 7.5
