That would look good in my driveway... Thought about transplanting that drivetrain in my cruiser once or twice.... decided that even though it would be great I just have to go bigger, can't go from a 4.5 to a 4.0 haha

Also @Speedytech7 its a 8.4” you can read it up on custom taco because when guys buy LSD for their trucks they have to get one for a 8.4” and not a 8”

So many people LS swap 80s, and it is cool and all but my truck is almost 100% stock and the only way the value would go up would be a seamless Toyota engine swap. I really want to do the 3UR-FE, although I having been noodling on the idea of turbo 1FZ-FE too, since that engine is already in there.

Nah, no interest in a diesel, the Toyota diesels are niether powerful nor fuel efficient (both less than my 1FZ). They're just dead reliable which is already a normal Toyota trait. Plus the 1HD and 1HZ are already offered in the 80. The 3UR or 2UR would both be great, actually the 2UR might even be better.

Yeah a 3ur would be cool, almsot like 380hp i think. Which is like double of what you have now
2ur is a lexis motor right? Like 420hp

Pretty close, the 2UR actually has a better torque curve than the 3UR but less power overall and it would be an easier package to fit in the bay (although it's plenty massive for either). I would want to keep the stock 80's trans and tcase (both for obvious reasons). This is the kind of project I would buy another shittier 80 for to get everything perfectly ironed out before I do it to my own.

I fill like the blue print of a UR will be really big. It probably will fit, but can you fit all the accessories on it

The UR is large but it is shorter both in height and length than the FZ, it's just the width that differs majorly, so as long as the accessories mount above the level of the crank pulley it should fit decently, like you should see how tiny some of the LS engines look in there...

    Here's my engine...

Here's a LS3 EROD... look at how much heigh and length room there still is, look how much room there still would be for the wider stance of the DOHC heads of the 2/3UR

Yeah the I6 motors are big.

My worry would be if the UR engine mount will not fit in between the frame rails because its wider.

The hilux was made in japan till 95 then the 1st gen tacomas were made in numi. The t100 was ended in 98 and after that was the tundra which was then made in the IS

I don't shine the grey truck's interior but the 80 is always clean even then dog hair isn't the devil, syrupy things are the devil. That an salty snow, that shit is the worst.
