FPK CAMPING MEET 6/9/18

So... here’s my situation... I have limited off-road experience. And I have limited recovery gear (just a hi-lift plus straps). And no CB.

So unless I know I have some assistance, I’ll probably stay home.

 

So is there any nearby somewhat light wheeling? can I just go down any nearby trail and find some kind of wheeling? Never been to va so excuse my ignorance

 

Not sure. It is a nice place. Right on the water. Will let you know. Ill be there with a jeep friend

 

Most likely right on flagpole unless its killer windy then probably back in the woods a bit

 

There will be plenty of light wheeling there just come in the rt 257 way and you'll have no problem

@Rackness and I are doing a day trip Saturday. We have yet to decide what time we are going to head up. What time do.you think you will be heading up. We could meet at Sheetz.

 

@Truggin im most likely only going for the day, but can assist if stuck. Im not in a rush just going to enjoy the day.

 

What time are most of you headed out of Nova, any plans to convoy?

 

I am planning to meet @Rackness in Manassas (probably at Sheetz on Balls Ford Rd.) and convoy down.

 

I live about 2 hours away, so I could be there as early as 7 or 8. What time are you thinking? And I have made this run before when my truck was completely stock. My concern is that it's been over a year, and we've had a shit ton of rain... (And my wife will be of little hep, should I need any)

If you go from Manassas, where will you hit 81? That might be a good central meet spot. Since I'm coming from (almost) WV.

 

Dont have a time yet, trying to gauge where everyone is meeting since im farther west than Manassas off 66.

 

I'm trying to convince my girl to go up on Saturday for a day trip too. I am coming from Stafford, so Manassas is a good point for me to meet up with yall, just let me know what time.

 

I confirmed that @Rackness and I are planning to meet at the Sheetz on Balls Ford Road in Manassas between 6:30 and 7:00 on Saturday. This would put us at the Sheetz on S. Main Street in Harrisonburg at about 8:00 to 8:30. Anyone wanting to convoy up to FPK is welcome to meet up with us at either location. Just look for the two red 3rd Gen Tacoma DCSB's.
