I slightly disagree to this. I cut about 1k caloric defecit (kept protein higher than before) and carb cycled and kept a strict diet for 6 weeks. 1 Cheat meal a week (yes not a day or 5 a week... ONE MEAL out of 49 a week). I lost 24 pounds and not an ounce a strength. Strenf comes from the mind when going through this routine IMO. I actually got a compliment yesterday the guy said dude you can't lose 20 pounds and look bigger... stahp. I said thanks man appreciate that. Doing it right will make you look bigger, but you also need to wear the proper clothes. You can't wear that XL t-shirt that you use to and expect to look bigger! When I wear most of my XL's now I look small. However, put a L cut off on I look 3x bigger.

It’s just random. Like last weekend I spent a couple days at the lake for the holiday and drank some, and ate whatever was cooked. I’ll be good now until the end of June when I have a wedding to go to and will be at the mercy of others for food and drinks

I’m not a fan of the use of the word “cheat” when paired with dietary habits.
It’s an unhealthy way to look at food.

I eat the best I can for my health. Every now and then I drink a few too many beers or have some cake and ice cream. That’s not “cheating” because I never agreed to not eat certain foods for the remainder of my life. And it wouldn’t be healthy for me to promise myself that anyways.
Ice cream or cake or a couple extra beers here and there does not make an unhealthy diet so I won’t describe it as cheating or being “dirty”. If I did it everyday it would be a problem but here and there still constitutes a healthy diet.

When I hear the words “cheat meal” it makes me feel suffocated. I already have to limit what I eat for a medical condition, I don’t need to add pointless rules ontop of that.

I drank beer this weekend, ate me pulled pork samiches, and ice cream and cake this weekend.
And not one single thing was a cheat!
    It’s all allowed :D!

That's my issue. It's so hard to have discipline when you have no control over what's being prepared/cooked/etc. I mean, it's one thing to go to a restaurant - you can almost always find something that will fit your diet. But when you're carb cycling and on a 0 carb day, and you go over to the in-laws for dinner and they've made lasagna...well,you're fucked.

9 Weeks into my cut - Down 28 pounds and down to 5.5% BF. These next 4 weeks gonna be fun. Much less carbs and much more cardio. This process has been great though, definitely more challenging than the last 6 years of bulk mode haha.

Well squat progress had to end at some point. Hit 415 for 3x5, and 2x3. Might try and max next week and maybe hit 500 which is my goal. That would put me at a big three total of 1400 at 220lbs.

It's tough to say as my carbs are different amounts each day with some days zero carb. But, on Carb day probably 150 carbs and 300 proteins, maybe 30 fat. I pay a coach to do the diet, I never actually calculated anything myself tbh.

Hopefully he has you stopping the diet soon.

30g of fat a day is severely low.
