There are 4 Toyota dealers in my area. One had a similar Sport with 13k miles and it was abused. The new ones were $31k for SR5 4x2 and go up from there. I also had a trade and didn’t want to travel too far as I have a 1600 mile trip coming up soon. We really liked the 2016, clean 1 owner Carfax, and I’m picking it up today

In case it hasn't sunk in from the other responses, I'll pile on.

Test drive test drive test drive.

In the frame of mind of details, and this is a lot of money. It better be right.

And do the same for any model you are considering buying. In other words, don't test drive one '16 and buy another based on the first units testing. They can be very different (unfortunately) in how they behave.

I didn’t hear any noises during the 2 test drives, but definitely going to jump up and down on the rear bumper and shake the windows. What’s the issue with BSM?

I'd also ask if it was a trade in to that dealer or they picked it up from an auction. If it was traded into a VW dealer I'd consider that a good thing. Probably someone who thought they wanted a truck but went back to a car/crossover. The truck is definitely clean - doesn't look like it was used as a truck. FWIW wheels & tonneau are aftermarket, tires aren't original (unless they weren't putting Toyos on all sports)

We noticed the wheels were not original, They look like Toyota upgrade wheels and it has the factory runner board and hard tonneau that folds up. This dealership is also a Porsche and it was a local car traded for a Porsche. Lots of $ around here lol

Toyota doesnt have upgrade wheels. If you buy a sport, you get the sport wheels. You can buy TRD Pro wheels out of pocket if you want. running boards are factory, tonneau is not. I have the factory tonneau on my sport. it says "Tacoma" in large letters on the top near the tailgate. Either way, its a clean truck from someone who didnt appear to need a truck. I'd guess the 16's came out and looked cool and aggressive and the prior owner bought it with no intentions of towing or hauling. I guess you could get a better idea from looking inside the bed if it was scratched up or looking at the towing hitch to see if there are any marks from a receiver being used. (not that it really matters).

2016 is the 1st model year of the 3rd Gen, if you have the VIN # you should be able to see if there are any open recalls or TSBs on it.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
It looks like a SET (southeast toyota) XP package to me... which means they throw on different wheels and a few other options like nerf bars.

FWIW, I paid 31K (truck only, excluding T/T/L) for my 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport 2wd NEW with 6 miles. Not only does this guarantee that you get a new truck (and no issues that someone traded in) but also will have 25,000 fewer miles.

Just picked it up. The previous owner traded it and a Lexus RX for a new Porsche Macan S. Bed and hitch are clean.

I agree with a lot of the posts here. If you did your research and test drove it then you have a good truck that you can enjoy for a long time. Congratulations!
