Looking for headlights that match the daytime running lights and still have good light output. They don't have to be led or hid could be a simple bulb replacement. Just looking for a bulb that has the same white color not the yellowish tint.

    Try a xenon bulb, I think it's 6500k temperature

I'll check it out. Is it just a simple plug in replacement? And is the output comparable?

Hikari LED with Lumilleds will work too. Pretty much anything with 6-6500K output.

For LED H11 is the size for all 3 - headlight high beam and fogs.

A lot of time, people don't mention, putting LEDs in housings not designed for them give poor throw. They look good if you stand back and take a look at them, but down the road lumination isn't good. I'd really research before putting anything in.

I haven't. The ones you stated may be fine, so I was just warning to really research. I've read lots of reviews talking about how poor LED throws are. It's also an issue if you're in a cold weather climate because the snow can turn to ice and then you can't see out of them. Oem adds heating to factory LED to prevent them from icing up. That may be something he has to factor in as well.

Output vs cost = performance = LED. Just sayin. OP lives in MS - been driving with LEDs for almost 3 years in my truck, had some a pretty cold winter this past winter with ice and snow and more ice. Was not an issue any more than any other bulb. Light output warms up the HL enough... if I lived in AK, maybe an issue. But then don't drive in ice and snow much or enough to worry about it.

We have been getting 100 inches of snow over the past few years. The mountain we ski at each weekend got over 400 inches last year, so it wouldn't work for me.

Having oem LEDs in my wife's car, I loved them. Figured the first thing I'd do was swap out to LEDs, then I realized, it's not as easy to legally get the same output they do, and factor in the ice, I'm stuck with factory bulbs.

So you think I'd be completely fine tossing in LEDs and driving 90 miles one way each weekend in inclement weather? Cause everything I've read says that's not smart.

LEDs in our low beam projector housing is perfectly fine. Not blinding and the throw with the Hikaris is much better than stock.

And also, the Hikaris match the running light perfectly, IMO. Hard to tell in pictures, but in person they both look the same white.

@RobP62 just did a great test run of our Xtreme PRO LED Headlight Kits in the Low and High Beams on his 2017 Tacoma - you can see some of his review here on our site, and more in the Lighting Conversion thread.

The kits feature fanless cooling via flexible aluminum fins that spread out off the base of the bulbs, and have adjustable collars, so you can change the final orientation of the diodes for when the bulbs are fully installed and locked in. This helps you get the light shining out side-to-side horizontally (think 3 and 9 on a clock face), to get the best results out of a housing that is designed for an expecting light to be shining in all directions.

I recently switched from HID to LED and would like to sell the HIDs I had in my Tacoma. They're a perfect match for the LED DRLs on it. PM me if interested at all. I can send pics too.
