Was just about to ask about security cameras @Porter707 @siznarf @GA-3RZFE @Micatom33 since the ebay deal is going on. I'm completely clueless regarding the differences and wife mentioned Ring, but I'd like more coverage (one by door, both side fences, rear door, front arch). Looks like a traditional system where you need to run power and a/v to the cameras. Depending on where you place the camera, you might not have a power source close by. Lots of work ... trust me, I looked into this option as well

Look into POE (power over ethernet) so you only run 1 cable to the cameras (CAT5/6) which provides both power and connectivity.

Let me see if I can find something close to that price range

Yeah I think 4 would be fine and I'm horrible with wiring, so POE sounds more up my alley.

Those are poe and can be run analog as well with external power.
