My 1st fiberglass 10" sub enclosure

I have had a kicker hideaway for about 1 year now and as all my friends have told me "your gonna want some more bass soon enough" and I was like no this will be plenty, well it's time for more bass and since I like to have a close to oem look, I have decided to attempt a fiberglass 10" enclosure in the driver side storage cubby. To make things worse I found a brand new kicker 10" solo classic which only uses a .66cu ft sealed box but has a mount depth of 6 inches? Its gonna be a tight fit...So here is my progress so far.

I had to cut out the center to make room for the huge magnet. Hope it works? the

Chipping away at it every day after work. I think I like the shape. Little close to the back seat but hopefully the sub won't hit the seat.

 

Well guys all done with the fiberglass. Now going to install it and test it out, pray it works and sounds good. If all is well take it out and start bondo and sanding to make it look oem.
I spray some bed coating on it but touch it before it was dry. Could not wait to hear so I don't care what it looks like for now. Just want to hear it.

So, how's it sound?

 

Sounds amazing, I'm lovin it for a 10" nice lows and hits all notes nicely. I have the kx400.1 amp gain at about 75-80% and don't want to push the sub being that I will probably never be able to replace it.
Amp rated at 400w and sub handles 450w rms so I would probably be safe but it's enough for me....for now.
I had a kicker hideaway before this so BIG difference. Thanks for asking
