So it seems ive fallen victim to the secondary air injection system failures. 2012 tacoma 4x4 trd off road just shy of 54k miles. Got p2441 a couple weeks back. Changed the vacuum switching valve, but ck engine lights stayed on. Disconnected battery to reset and ck engine light came back on within a day. Been driving ok for a couple weeks with lights on, but truck went into limp mode this morning. Dealer says its the secondary air pump. Not sure if they are doing the pump and valves or just the pump, but the best news is that its covered under warranty. Didn't even have to mention the emission warranty that should cover this job. I just wanted a definitive diagnosis so i could order and replace parts myself, but warranty coverage is better. Very happy so far that this isn't gonna cost anything. Truck should be ready tomorrow, fingers crossed.

Got the truck back today. Turns out it was p2440, 1, and 2. TSB 0333-17 was found and all was covered under warranty. Attached is a pic of the part numbers in case anybody deals with this in the future.

Also did a quick search on the pump and valve assemblies. About $500 for each part so about a grand to get parts and change yourself.

Did you complete the UNI filter mod to the pump prior to getting the CEL?

I did the UNI filter mod about a year and a half before I got the codes.

I just got the notice that they extended the warranty on those, but with my luck, it will wait till it is up to die on me.

No, i didn't mod anything. I let the dealer take care of everything.
