My wife’s Grandfather was on Normandy beach on D-Day. When he passed he gave me a hand made Bowie he’d carried in the war and as he put it “ it was used on D-Day. The first time I pulled it out it payed my finger open it’s never been drawn again

    Not a fun day

The surveyor is here and putting extra time in to find a stable spot, nice guy, doing everything to make the inspector happy.

And he lives down the street.

    That is going well

    But
No word from the idiot architect

And I watched a kitten dropped on the freeway, trying to get out of the way. I pulled over and ran back but watched it get hit, then I tripped over a bunch of crap and tore up my hands.

    No good deed goes unpunished.

At least the beer is cold

We'll see how well it works next week. The trick is going to be to orient the brush so it all lays the length of the trailer.

The plan is to load it with the excavator as I'm ripping out the brush then have the loader in the other end to unload and build piles for burning...hopefully this winter.

The stakes on the passenger side are hinged...we'll see how those hold up. The stakes are 6' tall, don't know if they're too tall. May have to cut them down so nobody else overloads the trailer. I'd originally built it to fit on a 20 ton tilt trailer but the trailer just won't get around very well where I need it to be so I fitted it to the goose neck which is 8 Ton.

I remember when I was a kid. Went with my dad on one of his drill weekends when he was in the bees, and the place they were working at had an electric fence. We were standing around by the fence and the guys were smoking and joking. They thought they were funny trying to get me to grab the fence. Well, this boy wasn’t no dummy, I already knew about electric fences. So there was tall grass by the fence. When they weren’t paying attention to me I pulled a handful of that tall grass, grabbed hold of the fence, and touched one of those guys on the arm with the grass.
Boy, did he get pissed.

Don't think so. He was in a lift all day pulling cable, so I didn't get to talk to him.
