    Here's my current setup
2017 Toyota Tacoma DCLB Off-Road AT

So I recently took my truck to the dealer to have them perform a 20k mile service. I had no issues with the truck previously and I loved the way my truck performed. The truck's transmission had learned my driving habits and I was completely satisfied.
Upon receiving my truck back from the dealer I have had multiple issues.
    • First, my alignment and balancing was off and begun to vibrate at higher speeds (55 mph+)
    • After leaving the dealer I made a turn and was coasting a constant speed when out of no where the truck accelerated, made a loud thumping noise and shifted into the next gear and burned some tire. I've replicated this 3 times in total and it usually happens when coasting and the noise is heard in the differential
    • The truck is also holding onto each gear longer and when it shifts in the next gear it revs up and then jerks you.
    • The truck is also making a very distinct whining noise when you accelerate, especially during the first 4 gears.

I have taken the truck back and told them to check out, but they said "Sorry, we couldn't replicate it". My truck was not part of the rear differential recall and I even had them check it out since I noticed leaking in the rear differential.

Has anyone had similar issues or does anyone have suggestions on what to do?
I will most likely escalate with my dealer if this continues throughout the week.
I will be uploading a video or two later on to show the problems since I'm at work right now.

    -Thank you

It may be low on AT fluid, a lot of members have seen this and had to add fluid which solved many of these problems.

What did the work order say about the 20K service? What work was done?

Basically just an oil change and a new oil filter

So i tried to replicate the jump from the transmission and it seems bad. It primarily happens after a left turn.
I have attached a video with a Youtube link
I also noticed some oil spots on the drivers side right by the wheel and i have an image attached as well.
    Any pointers would be great
    Thank you

Sounds like you are low of AT fluid. Check the level if you know how to, otherwise take it to a shop that knows what it is doing. Foot the bill to the dealer after and show them how incompetent they are.

    ...stuff
There is a thud.... then a lot of knocking... might be a long shot but add in possible fuel contamination?

That'll be the first thing that I'll try. Thanks!

I put in a fresh tank immediately after i noticed the problems and it still keeps producing the same results

Yes, i actually did. The dealer ended up checking the transmission fluid level and it was about a quart low from the factory. The truck performs the way it used to. I'm unsure why it suddenly changed and wasn't a problem from the start.
