Well you need to pick do you want function or form and if you'll actually take it off road.

If all you want to do is stuff like ganaraska or the snow run sure but anything airing down like Minden, ardbeg, concessions etc anything rocky 18s will get beat up fast. You get a better foot print for more rubber hence the desire for 15s to us. More footprint means better traction.

You think I cut a hole in my fender because it looks cool? Or put one of the ugliest bed racks on my truck because I like the look? I put it because I wanted the cargo capabilities and not risk water coming in the engine... And expo points lol

Even my lights on the front in front of my grill are ugly but whatever I wanted more light

You think Peter did a flat bed for looks?

You need to understand we're under the impression you want to join us on the trails and we're telling you avoid 18s cause we don't want to see you break something... Ok well maybe @Norilsk wants to but he's sick . He gets off on breaking his truck and others .

Are you guys +2 more rigs or 3 people in the tacos?
I guess i need more friends.

And let the man learn, if he is offroading, were giving him the best advice. He will have to do it twice to learn and make it right.

What joe just said ^^^^ x2

I cant even sell my stock wheels that are 17” after one trip to ardbeg, im not that nice to my truck but im not stupid and 3/4 have rash on them and one being very bad will multiple scraps from one rock.
If you have any interest of hitting a legit trail. Tires and wheels are most important, also are going to be the first to get beat up

Airing down less means less foot print and less traction.

Also understand the air down also takes abuse off other components

We've all discussed on swisha we will air down even if we don't need to fit traction but to lighten the load on suspension etc.

And running heavier ply like e rated tires mean you need to go lower to get more footprint which is where you risk damage to wheels and popping the bead

Hence why pros run bead locks so they can get into that single psi range

Eugene if bringing two friends with him

Please don't die with 3 crazy Russians

And ya if he goes off road he'll probably learn the hard way lol and need to pay twice.

Once you get into 33 they're almost all e rated.

I agree c is fine and I wish I could very mine in 6 ply vs the 8 ply I got

Yeah, previous friends never went camping after October 2015, where we almost drowned in Algonquin in October cold water, lost all drinks except Vodka and then proceed to finish the trip & kept going for another 2 days...
    Camping is FUN!

I see the points, not like I’m saying your all full of shit. It’s different when it’s all totally new to you.

At the same time you gota be realistic. 16’s are the way to go for you guys if your going extreme. I know I won’t be.
If I change my mind and want to get more out there, well then I’ll sell what I got and get what I need.

Then stay with 265/65/18s and enjoy your life, problem solved!
Wheel for a bit and understand better what you need and THEN move forward with the tire choices.
Damages are impossible to avoid, you will scratch those wheels. I mean, I have a 4 months old truck with 10K kms and there is already plastic chipping from the rocks on the front bumper, a medium scratch on the fender from mall crawling and plenty of other imperfections all around. It's a Toyota truck, not a Lambo...
