The awning brackets hold it a little bit away from the truck, so there will be a gap on whatever side it isn’t bolted down.

 

Yes. I found some ARB brackets on quadratec for $12 each, but I just used L brackets from Home Depot, where I suspect @Darkgoatracer will go also

I make my own brackets most of the time. They're made out of cardboard but....

I recently dealt with them to have my N-Fab Sliders installed (unfortunately I watched @boogie3478 video after the fact...and am now kicking myself). Anyhow, they were very nice and knowledgable and actually gave me a refund of unused labor time.
